-UPDATE FIXES ARE IN THE COLOR GREEN-

Poland emerges this century on top of the European market for goods. With their markets strategically placed between the wheat fields of Muscovy and Western Europe, and between the metals of Central Europe and the consumer forces of Greece, the rise of the merchant class in Poland has helped create many new jobs and more people. With the rise in population comes the rise in military employment, which now exceeds that of more of the European neighbors. The markets are the most profitable in Europe, besides that of Portugal’s. Poland’s neighbors are now dependent on the markets for profits and income as well.

On the Indian Subcontinent, the Ceylonese war continues as they regroup from the backstabbing of Dravidians to redistribute their forces. Dravidians are pushed back, and the Indians have already almost fallen due to the Persians capturing the capital. Casualties are heavy, as the Dravidians fight to the very last man, and have yet to make one POW for the Ceylonese.
Casualties: 1,200 Ceylonese, 600 Dravidians, 200 Indians

Sweden buys the eastern strip of Fennian land that extended along the Angel coast. Many Fenns living there, though a minority, and are content with being Swedish citizens. Meanwhile, Great Dockyards of Tallinn are finally complete, doubling the ship making capabilities. The result is a much larger navy, of caravels from original Fennian design, and a larger port for trade.

The Royal Wedding of Fredrick of Germany and Mike (girl’s name) of Prussia have completely united the two nations that once were separate, since the King of Germany’s death. Inheriting the country, Fredrick decided to share it with his wife and father, making the two countries one with a duel monarchy. However, with Fredrick’s death, the country of Germany fell into Mike’s hands. Being struck with grief and not having the slightest clue on how to run a nation, all power went to the King of Prussia, now the King of Greater Prussia.

Peace is made between Somalia and Ethiopia, thought the God’s are confused as to the redistribution of land between the two.

Japanese reawake from their slumber and begin to reproduce their empire with the enlargement of the army and the Japanese Pagoda complete in Kyoto.

Swedish longboats make a strenuous journey past Greenland to see what lay in the unknown. Encountering fierce storms that nearly topple the Swedish ships, Leif Erckission and his crews make landfall at a place known to the people there as Futhark. Re-supplied with animal hides and polar bear meat, Erckission continues south, where he makes landfall in a temperate island with friendly natives. They set up a settlement and wait for further orders. They name the land Vinland. Still not to sure how to get back, Erckission sailed what he thought was north, and soon arrived in Greenland to relay his message of new land. Such a long journey can be used purely for trading and settlement purposes, he says in his letter to the Swedish king, military campaigns are simply out of the question.

The Chinese have finally finished their age-old struggle for unification. Only three nations remain of the dozens of warlord states. China, the strongest left over, is also the largest by far, occupying the major cities of China. In the north, a very strong empire arises during it’s own conquests, called Gansu. Liaoning becomes the center of attention in the northeast, recruiting the largest army per capita in the world. The northern nations, in fear of China, sign an alliance together.

Portuguese Egypt witnesses several rebellions throughout the nation, killing nearly five hundred occupying Portuguese. The Egyptians, under the new Pharaoh, Nemet, begin an all-out rebellion with thousands of ill trained Egyptians making up an army double that of the occupying Portuguese. Meanwhile, Portuguese daringly use the ports of the Red Sea to supply their troops who land in India to fight the Persians. Meanwhile another Portuguese army invades the northern reaches of Ethiopia, taking much unoccupied land. No casualties yet. Supplies are stretched to their maximum though.

Persians take the capital of India, Aharmabad quite easily, using modern siege tactics and siege weapons. The Persian Greater Legions then marched into the fertile plains of India in the north, capturing strategic farmland and crops that were used to feed the Indian army. Being pushed into the jungle center, the Indians are quietly starving. However, with the arrival of Portuguese troops, the Indians believe they have a chance at winning and continue to fight.
Casualties: 350 Greater Legions, 300 Persians, 600 Indians

A dark menace has befallen upon the Persian Empire. From the north, the Mongols sweep into the nation much like they did in Europe. The northern lands, Silk Trade Route lands, immediately fall to the Mongols as the Persian army marches in India. The Mongols dive deeper still, reaching small Persian villages. Recouped from the Siberian Fever, the Mongol hordes ride in strong numbers, with superior tactics.

Aragonese troops overwhelm the Toledo people, destroying what little army they had left and taking the largest city in Iberia that is not Lisbon. Madrid is incorporated into the empire, and with it has come an extensive material growth for the Aragonese.
Casualties: 100 Toledo, 200 Aragonese

Settlers dispatched from the Burgundian ports to southern Africa are never heard from again. Meanwhile, Corsica gains fame in Burgundy as a hot tourist and vacation spot, sported throughout all of Europe as the place to relax. The advertisement works, the small island has become the most visited place in Europe, generating a good amount of revenue for the Burgundians. One hundred Navarre Infantry are sent to the ally, Lorraine, in protection against the Dutch.

Paris is encircled. The Dutch army, through superior tactics, mounted riders, and Portuguese mercenaries, are able to crush the Lorraine resistance with an iron fist and push them back to their city where they remain with their Burgundian friends.
Casualties: 400 Dutch, 200 Portuguese, 500 Lorraine

Nearly two thousand Portuguese mercenaries land in England to face the small numbers of English troops left. Meanwhile, British forces push from the north. The English are sandwiched and finally destroyed, the nation that was once the rival of mighty Wales has fallen.
Casualties: 300 British, 200 English

Tripoli has begun to rebuild itself from the drought, enlisting millions in building up the worn down buildings, clearing the old dikes and canals, and improving the harbor to once more dominate the Mediterranean trade.

Christianity begins to spread into central and northern Europe by way of Syrian and Portuguese missionaries. However, the two teach a slightly different form of Christianity, to be explained later. Though it is definitely being know in Central Europe, it still has failed to convert even a large minority, only having about 10% of the population as of now.

The royal marriage took place in the Castle of Rome, the very heart of the Roman Empire. The princess of Calabria, dressed in pure white, ascended the isle in a Christian format, meeting with the prince of Rome. Together they were married in a Christian church, marking the first royals to become Christian. Though with this unification came another – Calabria officially has become joined with Rome.

Kissi armies, now fully trained to medieval army and tactics, begin warm-up drills on the border of Portuguese colonies. Likewise, Portuguese colonial militias begin to do the same, establishing bases and forts on the border.

The Bosnian coast becomes the most dangerous place in Southern Europe to be, as pirates under the Spartan banner raid the towns and ports for their material wealth. Though Bosnia has little to offer, what they did have has been stripped away and carried back to Sparta onboard the newly upgraded Caravels of the Spartan Navy.

Meanwhile, the Spartans also continue their cultural and domestic growth with the founding and construction of Knossos on the island of Crete, transforming the once desolate and unexciting place of the Mediterranean into a modern island paradise fit for any king in Europe to visit.

@Jason- you forgot to add calabria to my territory- they joined me peacefully remember ;)

you also forgot the asterick you said I would have this turn, and another turn of progress on my wonder, and my wanting to build my economy this turn as well.. in fact, it seems you did not even look at my orders...

could you please fix this?

Orders:
-Spend One Economy to Increase Army
- Upgrade army to new age
-Irrigate land around capital to help provide jobs (economy) and increase population

OOC: btw how do u upgrade army to new age.

to get incresed numbers of troops- well, you cant, first ****ty things have to happen to your nation, usually massive terrtioral loss/ plague/invasion.rebellion and the likes

to have an army as effective as a higher age army, you need to get someone to send a general to you..

To:Syria
From: Rome

Rome is willing to send a general to rain your amy in the ways of medieval warfare, provided you either send a economy out way in orders, or sign an MPP with Rome

To: Rome
From: Syria

We shall sign an MPP, as long as I am not automatically drawn into every conflict. (i.e. You actually come out and say you need help.) May both our peoples prosper.:)

To: Syria
From: Rome

we would not have it any other way- it would get quite annoying if we were both automatically drawn into each others wars after all

(OOC- and then I would have to share the spoils besides!)
