Update 12 - 1300 BCE
New religious systems of belief appear around the world.
In Eire, the old different local pagan beliefs are being slowly replaced by a national Celtic Polytheism, a fusion of pieces of all the different mini-religions that have been developing throughout the years. It isnt everywhere an easy transition for the locals to bring in aspects of worship they previously did not recognize, but since the national religion is an amalgam of the existing beliefs, its looking optimistic.
In the Aztec Empire, religion is also flourishing like never before, with intensified worship of Quetzalcoatl worship that has not been so devoted since the establishment of the Empire. The establishment of the city of Quetzalmoc has inspired a cult to arise in the new city devoted to following only Quetzalcoatl and delegating the other gods to the status of simply being prophet-servants of the god. The cult of Quetzalism is currently limited to Quetzalmoc and the city around it, and it is unclear if it will spread. Some of the Aztecs in the southern parts of the country, though, preach that all the gods must be equally worshipped.

In Malaysia, Balism belief in a balance between power, emotion, and knowledge is on the rise after a miracle happened to its first convert, a man named Karzil. His miraculous possession by the deities of the balance and survival at the hands of an army has shown the people of Malaysia that their former little local beliefs were not the true way. Balism has been accepted by the Emperor and the people as the way to true enlightenment. It has spread all over Malaysia except Chittagong, which its preachers have not reached yet. It is also beginning to appear in Papua, Nihonese Borneo, and Nihonese Philippines.

In the Byzantine Empire, roads are finally being built to secure the trade routes and tax routes. Taxes are flowing regularly again, and Byzantine troops are posted across the empire ensuring that banditry is low.
Portugal has made its move! On France! After centuries of just minding its own business and building a good rapport with its neighbors, mainly Rome and Eire, with which it has a trade route, the Portuguese army and navy attack the unsuspecting Frenchmen. Numerical advantage, as well as the element of surprise, make for easy invasion. The Portuguese have taken Frances entire coastal area, and are about to reach Paris, the capital of France. With seriously-diminished military forces and much territory occupied, will France end its stint as an independent kingdom? And what about the relationship between Portugal and Eire, who is in an alliance with France?

The Dacian Empire has finally conceded defeat to the Slavic uprisings. The stubborn dynasty had been overthrown at home in his own capital, one of his cousins being propped up to take over. The new Emperor, related also, by marriage, to the Byzantine Emperor, has ordered a withdrawal of troops from East Slovakia, Galicia, and Serbia, and has ordered to end all hostilities. As a result, East Slovakia and Galicia have both joined Slovakia, and Serbia has been annexed and occupied by Dalmatia, with full cooperation from the Serbs.
In Israel, the government has attempted to enlist the settled Arabs who call themselves Palestinians to fight the Arabic tribes that continue to violently occupy the south. The Palestinians have refused, however, to fight their own. Though most of them have embraced Judaism, they are not eager to fight their own blood-brothers.
However, it seems that there wont be much need to fight, anyway. Many of the Arab marauders have pulled out of southern Israel and poured into the Mameluke Kingdom. There, the Arabs have established the Emirate of Egypt, replacing the old Mameluke government. The leader of the Arab armies, Mahomet ibn-Pasa, has been made the despot Emir. Lucky for him, the Mamelukes are still quite un-recovered from the plague, and therefore resistance is only lasting in the southern parts of Egypt, where the plague was the least severe and where the Arab armies have just arrived.
Babylonia is also apparently going the way of the Mameluke Kingdom. The capital has been occupied and the emperor executed. Another of the leaders of the Arabs, Omar ibn-Pasa, coincidentally the brother of Mahomet, has been proclaimed Emir of Iraq.
This may signal the end of the Arab invasions.
Propaganda trying to rile up the people of the Australian Commonwealth, Papua, and the Maori Commonwealth against the Perthian government has been generally ineffective now that the Perthian Emperor has agreed to democratize. In fact, noone among the Papuans and Maoris considers the Perthians to be threats or obstacles, and many in their legislatures praise Perth for joining the democratic community of the Oceania area. The smear campaigns have been most popular in Australian Commonwealth itself, as some of the upper-echelon administrators in the cities of the coast call for union with or outright annexation of the western neighbor.
Border incidents have occurred, directed against Perth by border Australian Commonwealth tribes.
The Illini have decided screw this and have packed up and largely fled their homeland. Roughly 80% of the population of the Illini Empire has fled southward, away from the land where their people have settled centuries ago. The Michigan Iroquois have resisted attempts to take them away from their home. The people have actually fought back the attempts and have slaughtered Illini people that settled there during the occupation.
After a journey, the self-exiles have made a settlement on the coast, called Roanoke, away from the Iroquois and Sioux. Nearby tribes have been surprisingly welcoming to the newcomers. The Empire of New Illinois is now established.
The 20% of the population and military have remained, and have not resisted the Ontario re-occupation of Michigan after the mass exodus. Many Illini from west of the river have also left, so the remnant government and military have not attempted to re-take the western territory from the Sioux, who invaded again after seeing the exodus.
The Crimeans have gotten in defensive positions to defend the peninsula, but the Magyars arent interested for some reason: theyre pushing eastward. Instead of finishing off an enemy, they merely weakened it and let it live. Why?

In a surprise move, the Nihonese have attacked the Fuzhou island of Taiwan and have managed to overpower the small regiment of troops there. Whether Nihon just wants full control of the islands or is responding to alleged latent hostility on the part of the Fuzhou and Shanghai mainlanders and is out to destroy them, is still unclear. But what is clear is that Fuzhou will not let the attack go unpunished and that Shanghai will stand by its potential union member.

I can't quite tell, is the Pacific colonized? The islands are small so it's hard to tell if they're coloured.
Orders:
-Colonize the Burmese Coast, guard it with 400 troops.

In the Year of 1298, King Ijail III of Malaysia was deep in thought. The recent threat of the Tranvacore crisis had shaken him greatly. He knew that the holy balance had stopped their threatening military buildup and damaged their economy, but the balance could only do so much. The Malaysian military HAD to be brought up to date.
But there were more pressing matters other than that. The economy would have to grow to sustain a larger military. Ijail had a plan for that. He called his chief engineer to the council chamber, which was empty so early in the morning.
"Why do you request my assistance at this hour, my lord?"
"I have had a brainwave. It is likely that you and others had, but no one has suggested this yet."
"What is it?"
The King pulled a huge piece of paper. "You are, of course, aware of the marshes west of the city along undeveloped coastline?"
"Yes."
"Could your men dredge it?" Ijail placed the paper on the table.
The chief engineer stared at the paper for a few moments. "With tremendous effort."
"Yes, it is that impressive, no?"
"Definitely. I once thought of building a port, but nowhere near that huge. Pardon my doubt sir, but wouldn't it be impractically huge?"
"At first I thought that, but there's a method to my madness. Think for a moment. Our land is the only practical route to the far eastern lands like Australia."
The engineer nodded.
"Now think some more. Think north."
"The... Nihon! And all of the Chinese states!"
"Exactly. Their ships must pass through us, or traders must go through the dangerous lands of the Mongols and Turkics."
"So if they ever wanted to trade with the west, they must pass through us. But what if the interior peoples become peaceful?"
"We will still have plenty of trade, for it is still faster to go by sea. And even if roads are built through central asia, our ships will still have much larger capacities."
The chief engineer stood, calculating things in his head. "That's perfect! My lord, your farsightedness amazes me."
"Thank you. Now would you like to actually have a look at the plan? This is where YOUR expertise comes in."
"Yes, yes." said the chief engineer excitedly. Both men looked at the plans, still resting on the table. The engineer's trained eyes jumped over the paper. In a few moments, his head popped up from the paper.
"It's all fairly well planned out. A few things could be changed, with your permission. I have only one question. What is the building at the furthest point inland?"
"The single largest structure we've ever built. It's harbour control, a market, and..." he paused for effect, "A Balist Temple!"
"What better way is there to spread knowlege of the balance?" mused the chief engineer.
"Nothing I can think of. For the moment."
"Unless you fly somewhere and shout it from thirty feet up." chuckled the engineer.
Both men laughed at the ridiculous notion. Ijail sent off the chief engineer to collect band of workers, then called the representatives to the council chamber. He was certain that he could push the plan into reality with his charisma. Not to mention that his vote was worth one third of the total.

His wise majesty, King Solomon of Israel saw that the Arabs had finally been pushed out of his people's promised land. Now he decided to turn his attention to expanding his nations influence. His navy would explore the world spreading the teachings of the Lord of Israel, G-d of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to other peoples. He would found settlements to spread the trade of Israeli wine, olive oil, cattle, wool, and Lebanese cedar. While his navy was not the best in the world, it would be sufficient to do what he wanted. The roads would be finished and safe trade conducted. Tel-Aviv and Aqaba, his two great ports, would bring the knowledge and wealth of the world into Israel. Israel would enter a golden age of trade, and its cities would flourish.

1. Have 2/3 of naval force guarding trade route with Byzantium (2/4 of entire navy) withdraw from guarding the trade route.
2. Have one quarter of fleet explore the Black Sea, go straight through the Meditteranean, and then explore the West African coast to give Israel contact with more countries, have them return after gaining contact with Ghnaa.
3.Have another quarter explore the Meditteranean (if I don't know people in the Meditteranean) then have them explore the European coast to establish communications, have them return after exploring the baltic and Norway.
4. Have a third quarter explore along the Red Sea. Bring along 1/4 of army (1/2 of this force should be regular infantry, and 1/2 Macabees) and settlers. Establish ports of: Jiddah (guard with Macabees) in Arabia, Berbera and Caluula in Somalia, and something on Scotra (couldn't find the names of any cities). Guard all cities, unless otherwise mentioned, with regular infantry.
5. Finish roads connecting ALL Israelite settlements. Build roads to Egypt and Georgia if trade is worked out and land routes are used.
6. Spend 2 to establish trade route with Egypt (if they agree) and two to establish trade route with Georgia (if they agree). Both using city of Tel-Aviv.
7. Have 1/4 of Army expand south into Arabia, all REAMANING Macabbees are to be among the soldiers.

1. Have 2/3 of naval force guarding trade route with Byzantium (2/4 of entire navy) withdraw from guarding the trade route.
2. Have one quarter of fleet explore the Black Sea, go straight through the Meditteranean, and then explore the West African coast to give Israel contact with more countries, have them return after gaining contact with Ghnaa.
3.Have another quarter explore the Meditteranean (if I don't know people in the Meditteranean) then have them explore the European coast to establish communications, have them return after exploring the baltic and Norway.
4. Have a third quarter explore along the Red Sea. Bring along 1/4 of army (1/2 of this force should be regular infantry, and 1/2 Macabees) and settlers. Establish ports of: Jiddah (guard with Macabees) in Arabia, Berbera and Caluula in Somalia, and something on Scotra (couldn't find the names of any cities). Guard all cities, unless otherwise mentioned, with regular infantry.
5. Finish roads connecting ALL Israelite settlements. Build roads to Egypt and Georgia if trade is worked out and land routes are used.
6. Spend 2 to establish trade route with Egypt (if they agree) and two to establish trade route with Georgia (if they agree). Both using city of Tel-Aviv.
7. Have 1/4 of Army expand south into Arabia, all REAMANING Macabbees are to be among the soldiers.
