Presidential Elections!

The candidates this year for the US Presidency are George Clinton of NY who is dedicated to protecting the US borders, Aaron Burr who is a Democratic Republican, and Charles Pickney who is a Federalist.

More Assassination Attempts.

The New Hampshire governor nearly was killed by an abolitionist’s bullet, who was furious that the states had massively increased the slave trade. In the mean time, NH is close to economic collapse.

The Vice President of the Confederacy was shot in the arm, but survived, and the episode greatly increased his popularity.

Aaron Burr was missed by yet another assassin’s bullet while campaigning for the Presidency.

The Campaign against the British

British arrogance cannot be tolerated! Attacks into Canada were launched from Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and New York, and all three have made great progress. Both the NH and MA attacks have reached the St. Lawrence, and New York’s troops, armed with heavy artillery, captured Montreal! Unfortunately, the British launched a counterattack and an amphibious operation took Long Island. The rest of NYC remains out of their hands, however.

France versus the Confederacy

The French reinforced their colony in Louisiana with 30,000 under Rochambeau, who has stopped the confederate invasion and invaded Mississippi, aided by the Natives who have had harsh treatment under the Americans. The British fleet was drawn off to fight near Bantry Bay in Ireland, while the SC navy recognized that it could not fight Villevenue’s fleet of 24 ships of the line, and fled.

LIBERTY BELL DESTROYED!

As Virginians tried to steal the bell that had symbolized liberty, Pennsylvanian civilians destroyed it before they could make off with it. It is a sad ending to the War of Southern Secession. (Virginia also attempted to make off with the vaults of Philadelphia, but they being the common paper currency of PA, were burnt by the citizens of Philadelphia.)

The Union, smaller every day.

Another group of states have seceded from the Union–this time, the Northwestern States. Also on the Issue of slavery. They, however, are hardened abolitionists, who oppose slavery to their very root, and disgusted by the pro-slave policies of most of the States, formed their own, namely: Michigan, Superior, and Illinois.

New Confederate States

Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida. All of them are cotton states. All are having a headache trying to export through Florida’s developing ports. If only Georgia’s governor could have kept the high transportation budget he did last year, then they could have used the developing city of Atlanta as a shipping point for farther north. As is, they are trying to slog through the mud of Georgia’s roads that barely deserve the name, and fear using the Floridan ports due to the French Fleets in the area.

Kentucky, the gun runners everyone likes.

Kentucky has a new industry–guns. They sell to anybody and everybody, and though this makes some suspicious, nothing has arisen. Yet.

OOC: Took longer than expected. Color Scheme changed, now all Confederates are Yellow, Orange, or Brown, Union is varying degrees of Blue and Blue-green, Northern States of America are Green. Next update would be Sunday at the very earliest.

You do not need to leave the Union, we may have a slave state(ahem New Hampshire), but the rest of us are very agaisnt slavery. Only if we unite together will we be able to stand the test of time.

The Northwestern states also left because Ohio splits them from the Union--not very united.

I'll see about the expenses, and forgot to say the 10 ships were destroyed. The British have about 10,000 men and 30 ships, now.

Yeah, sorry, forgot that you lost a bunch of men in Lousiana.

If you say 7,000 to West Point, it will keep investing 7,000 every turn until you tell it to stop. They are all one turn investments, though, yes.
