Governor Benson and his Death
Governor Benson was scrabed by an Abolitionist's bullet the other day. Surgeons thought him fine because of a new-wave technological medicine practice known as "surgery". For unknown reasons, Benson died soon after the operation. Experts think that evil demons were not washed from the hands of the surgeons using water and soap. Some call them "germs". Surgeons urge next governor to increase educational funding.

Governor Al Kerry elected - Slavery Abolished!
His first act was to abolish slavery, and bring New Hampshire into line with its allies. No doubt he feared another assassination attempt. Taxes were decreased slightly, but income remains steady due to opened trade with Masachusetts that Governor Das set up before he retired. No extra fundings were increased.

Army Disbanded
The national defense was cut today in compensation for the loss of emancipation. Quote Kerry:
"I won three Purple Hearts in the War. There is no more need for war."

PS. Napoleon was in control of France and had troubles with the Austrians and what not, there is no way in the world he would send 30,000 men to Lousiana, to defend something he described as not worth having in the first place.

From the Confederate States of America

We did not force you to leave the Union and you can still be part of that Union if you so wish, however I hope you reconsider your position on the Confederacy as the Confederacy will ensure your rights of a state are kept and that you are part of something large enough to continue to protect you against all powers, great or small.
