Due to dll engine limitations, some of the founder and reformation abilities in v1 did not function properly.
This is a total rewrite of the beliefs in BNW based upon the fine work of NQmod, with many changes and notably without any DLL requirement (allowing better mod compatibility and usage on Macs). In general the beliefs are significantly more powerful than in BNW, making religion a more important aspect of the game.
There are a lot more beliefs available and I highly recommend using a mod that allows every civilization to select a bonus belief (as BNW Byzantines) such as BlouBlou's "Religion - Improved Customization" (see Steam Workshop).
