How i could use the ranged attack abillity of the stone thrower?

If he stand adjacent to an enemy there is no attack button.

The text is misleading since it is always there. There is a BUG option that can enable ranged attacks. The option defaults to "off". It would be the Archer Bombard option on the RevDCM tab of the BUG Options screen. (This text really ought to be turned off for these units if the option is off.)

That option use to have problems, but they might all be fixed now.

AFAIK it works fine now (the option that is). I use it all the time. Not sure if stone throwers are actually enabled or not to be honest (never tried).

Dunno, but I've been archer bombarding with my archers (and the AI has been archer bombarding me) for months. Only tried it with Atl Atls and above though myself, so not 100% certain stone throwers/slingers work correctly (though I can't see why they would be different)

Yep... done. But its a bit fractured and all over the place at the moment and not as organized as I usually maintain it. I have the most immediate tasks listed nicely on paper in front of me at my desk.

Thx for the PM, and WOW, what a list :eek: Nice work!:goodjob:;)

You should see my "todo" lists and design notes from over the years of working on C2C and HAND. They are organized yet also random. My best ones are the charts and lines for things such as the crime line, pollution lines and housing upgrade chart. I really should organize them into a binder or something. They just sit in a big old pile on my desk. The most useful of them all is a list of all building costs by tech column.

lol... yeah I have a lot of loose notes floating about here ;)

Thanks for yout help. I tried it and it works very well despite the accuracy it to low.

I will revive this subject.. because i have archer option On in the bug menu... but i can't see a option to bombard with my stone thrower.. it is normal? I'm using the lastest version of the game.

Stone Throwers are throwing units, not archers - and therefore cannot Ranged Attack with neither Archery Bombard nor Ranged Assault. They do gain the ability to withdraw and withdraw early if you're playing on Fight or Flight - they run up and throw and pull back when they get down to their last rocks. Makes them more survivable and a unit intended to wear down the enemy rather than necessarily take him out entirely. Throwing units also have some ability to defend cities but this fades as they upgrade and become more and more a city attacker type.

Archery Bombard is not advised at this time anyhow - the Ranged Assault function fulfills this role without the need for the Archery Bombard option.

ok thx.. been a while since a played this mod. It's been nearly a year.. so the ranged assault is a option or i can do that automaticaly?
