Cute. They advertise the new Matrix sequel by putting out a popout that replicates, just like the "Agent".

Problem is, ads like that quickly cause some computers (like mine) to crash, because you can't get rid of all of them fast enough.

Can you tell Telefragged that you're not going to accept such an obnoxious ad on your website? We're (well, I'm, anyway) not amused.

It's only one add - it is animated to look like multiple windows but there is a single exit button that will get rid of all of it.

It is annoying after the first time thought (mainly because of the sound)

I finally got that ad the other day when I made an excursion to the CFC main site (and finally know what's the huh-hah's all about... ). Gave me quite a scare, 'cause I was like trying to exit it, but it kept going and going around and replicating... Took awhile before it exited by itself (?).

Yes, we are not amused. Most definitely not.

I went out and bought some Poweraid just to make it shut up... and it still hasn't gone away!!!

Must be because I didn't get the Matrix version. I would never buy that commercialized kind of crap.

I think you guys complain waaaaay to much, why don't you start donating to CFC if its such a problem to you? You know, I think on Realn's site, he has a "$6.99 Gets 50,000 Ad-Free Pageviews!". It is very rare to find a popup free site unless they are selling something themselves, or making money some other way. These threads are really annoying, more so than ads, IMO.

I happen to be drinking Gatorade right now. :p In your face, Coca-Cola!

Where is it? I haven't been able to find one.

I don't find the pop-up all that bad.

Course, being paid malicious amounts by Coca-Cola contributes to that. :hmm:

It says CLOSE in pale white writing at the top right hand corner of the add which is just slightly off the center of the page.

Two words: Pop-up blocker.

That, or get Opera. I haven't seen a pop-up on CFC for a very long time...

I have a popup stopper and they don't stop this...

My pop-up-stopper has stopped Agent Smith.

If Neo had pop-up-stopper in the first movie, he could have saved a lot of hassle.

Okay, thanks. :) Just like that Sims ad that we had not too long ago, I guess.

LOL it would help more in that fight scene in the second movie.

Exactly the same type of add (one of the only types my popup stopper can't get)

P.S. What stopper do you use that gets rid of these Curt ???

I don't think that we complain about the pop ups themselfs, they are not that much of a problem, "we" complain about pop ups that are either hard to "pop off" talk to us, or freeze up our computer. Is it too much to ask that the companys not be jerks and let us turn them off quickly? Im more likley to buy something from a pop up that dosen't annoy me ;) so just for that Im not drinking powerade!
also you know? I work at a circle K and I stock that powerade so.... if that add keeps anoying me I wont stock it and no one that lives around here will buy any either :goodjob:
I really can deal with pop ups, but not those that I can't just right click and close on.

I can understand why they annoy you, but It has been shown to us that these things are fairly out of the sites control. Money makes the world go around, however. Lets be honest, would you be more likely to buy something advertised with pop up add, which is easily closed, yet is for 'breast enlargement' or something, or would you buy Powerade? The ad itself is not a bad thing, it's a good ad. The problem is the speed, with DSL I can close the add before it really gets going, before it's even visible. If the server is having a little trouble, it takes longer to do so, the new server upgrade should help that. The Core ad was exceedingly annoying, but it seems to have sparked a 'who can complain about the next ad first' thing going on here that seems to be coming from vocal Off-Topic posters (No Offense).

It impressed me, I'm not the spots drink kind of guy, but if I was, I would choose this over gatorade, Coca-Cola recognizes CFC, or atleast the Gaming world.

These threads are crowding up the feedback section, why not create just one thread for all the ad's?

This isn't aimed at Allan2 or anyone else, I just question if multitudes of these threads are really necessary.

Of course, how stupid of Gatorade, not realizing the vast quantity of sporty types hanging out in Internet forums. ;) And if they really cared about us, they wouldn't have made such an annoying ad. :p

I drink Gatorade a lot myself, more than Powerade, mostly because Gatorade is a better rehydrator than water, whereas I don't know about Powerade. (Although I'm sure it's just about as good.)

OK, I got this stealth popup today - it was hiding under the task bar, took a while to dig the critter out...

looks like I'll have to turn up the blocking some more

edit: there was a movie running in the black area, I guess it didn't capture it. and the ad is obviously too stupid to notice I've got XP anway :S
