Wow, we are making good turns today! I was thinking though, with only 8 cities allowed, we are not going to be able to build the forbidden palace. It should make for in interesting game! City placement is very critical in this game.

SB020 played and sent to Rocinante. I had my city placement all planned out but it turned out there was ocean on two sides close to my first city. Now I will have to rethink it depending on what I discover as I explore. This is a big map for 4 civs. It could be a while before we run into each other.

Another turn played and sent. We are doing good, and would be doing better if I stayed at the computer because it appears we are all here. Unfortunately, I have to help with dinner, talk to wife, etc...
As for land size, it could be a LONG time before anybody meets anybody else. Since there are no goody huts, and you only get 8 cities, it may or may not be advantageous to use a unit to scout around. Those scouting units cost gold and that gold will add up over the long haul. But the sooner you meet someone or everyone, the techs will be cheaper and you can always trade techs. Yes, this is going to be an interesting game.

Guys, I am going on vacation. I will be gone from June 20-23 and from June 26-July 1. Sorry for the delay.
BTW, we got in 9 turns yesterday! I hope to have many more Saturdays just like that. We are going to need to do that if this game goes to spaceship.
