Strange Brew PBEM

SB033 done. Sent to Rocinante. Hmm, looks like the Germans are starting to take a bit of a lead in the score.

Yes they are. I don't want to give away my strategy, but this game will be a farmer's gambit from the start until things get really moving. After reading the game setup and rules, it was easy to make a decision on the opening moves.

Another turn! I don't know what the record is for number of turns in a PBEM with four people (without any planning to do so), but we have got to be either getting close or passed it by now I would think.

SB045 done and sent to Rocinante. This is a different sort of game all the way round. You don't have worry about defending your territory so you have few units to move. It's a game of trying to squeeze as many points as you can out of a turn. The map is so large for 4 civs I wonder if I'll ever meet anyone.

Oh ! I see. But isn't it a bit boring without meaning anybody, especially as a MP format (PBEM) ?

LouLong, I don't think so. It is a little boring right now, but I think that may change as the game goes on. I was thinking the same thing you are, how this was just going to be a builder game, and never do anything else. But after reading the rules, you realize things may/will change. Anybody who thinks they can just build and launch their space ship in this game is probably going to lose.

As for meeting anybody, yes, it is a very large map. But once again, that is going to play a huge part in the mid-late game mechanics.
