THE SECOND BOER WAR

What started out as small British raids across the cease-fire line has by this week blown into a full out war. First the British troops begun raiding villages and outposts, killing most people and burning the land. When confronted by Sudafrican authorities the British refused to stop, and instead have landed a 20,000 men detachment on the Eastern Coast which fought its way against the Boer 3rd and 5th armies to join the forces already holding the southern cities.
The British Expeditionary Force also struck just last month. However the commanding officer, who believed he had 40,000 men under his control overestimated his resources, and he rushed into the middle of south africa having only half of what he thought he had.
That however did not stop the British from winning. After a number of battles the British hold the Southern and Eastern Parts of the Country. The Eastern British force reports 18% casualties, very high, but understandable under the fighting conditions the troops are not used to. The Expeditionary Force reports 10% casualties, mostly due to the Commander's overestimation of his resources. The Boers do not report casualties, but estimates show 10-15% is probably accurate.

The right of the government soley rests of the governed. Many of the people of the Germany do not suport Moltke. They support the Bremen Reichstag, Germany's one chance for true freedom. I ask you to help support us. Von Moltke can retain control of the army and swear allegiance to the Reichstag. Together we can defeat the Communist menace that threatens us all.

No it doesn't. The German government, as of before the crisis, was an absolute monarchy. Therefore, all the power in Germany lay in Kaiser's hands, therefor Moltke, in whose favor the Kaiser abdicated, represents the legitimate government of Germany. Not any industrialists and "intellectuals" in the north, who MIGHT represent the people in northern Germany... or may not. It is reported - by a pro-Bermen source! - that it has the middle-class support. German people do not consist of middle class only.

We propose that Moltke becomes the new Kaiser, and that as Kaiser he would have roughly the same powers as the British King.

This is solely up to Moltke. However, we believe this might make a reasonable compromise, though the powers of the British King are insufficient to effectively combat socialism.

We support the Italian claim, but will not press it. We hope, ofcourse, that you (Austria) still realize that giving the Italians those pitifully-small territories will be of mutual benefit for both of you and thus for Russia as well. Not only will the seccesion of those territories somehow strengthen Italy and decrease animocity between Austro-Hungary and Italy, thus guaranteeing peace in the region, but it will also decrease the amount of "dangerous" minorities still left within Austro-Hungary.

Stresemann Asks For Compromise
The Bremen Reichstag's Foreign Minister, Gustav Stresemann, has called on General von Moltke to join the Reichstag in finding a compromise. Speaking in the Reichstag's chambers Mr Stresemann said, "It is imperative that we unite, Germany needs its army, but it also needs reform. The German people cry out for representation but they also retain the need for strong leadership. If our two sides (the Bremen Reichstag and the Army) do not unite then we risk undoing all the work that was done to unite this great nation. Furthermore we risk allowing the Marxists and a militant terrorist group to seize control. It is therefore imperative that we can reach a compromise and restore order and stability to Germany in unison." In response to these calls the representatives of the Army have released a statement saying that von Moltke and his Generals would be willing to hold discussions with the Bremen Reichstag about a possible compromise deal. It is difficult to judge whether these talks will prove to be successful but for many Germans it is a step in the right direction.

Banks across Bavaria have been emptied by PLM soldiers. PLM leaders have also been advocating violence and riots in major industrial areas forcing many prominent industry leaders and businesses to flee the region.
