Stupid question on state religion

Ok, I'm playing my second game (epic,large).. (lost my first game, ghandi went to alpha centauri, as I built the UN and lost the election ).

Anyway, I founded Hinduism but didn't make it my state religion.

I know how to change to theocracy and what not, but how do I now make something my state religion, when I don't have one?

To make Hinduism your religion, go to the religious advisor and click on the Hinduism symbol at the top of the screen.
