Somehow I missed Deathling's post. I've removed you from the list for now, when you are all set I'll add you back on.

oh, lines don't survive across save games

but you can do them for your own purposes by zooming out and doing strategy layer like i said (thanks to grey fox for showing me that one)

Yeah they wont survive save games... learned this the hard way when I was planning my empire back in vanilla one time, and then I came back to the game and my lines! my beutiful lines! ALL GONE!

Ten years went past, in boring haze.
A lion showed up, was not my pal
A merryman went down, in glory's blaze
A settler was started, for a new carnival

A scout was dispatched, to the scary dark
A road was created, for marble I'm told
We found some dwarves, out for a lark
A cottage I planted, because I like gold

A messenger has come, quiet as a thief
I finish the notice, with a sigh of relief
Orcus is born, good tidings for me
He's born tis true, but across the sea

An orc was soon spotted, my scouts swiftly fled
I want them out looking, not winding up dead
My guard post stands empty, tis nothing but brambles
Our defenses, it seems, are in quite a shambles

More warriors I suggest, when the settler is done
Pick your spot (you're the boss) for the city to be
You know, come to think of it, some wet zombies'd fun
So fishing's up next, then a message from the sea

Done.

If anyone else wants to jump in, they are certainly welcome. Currently it is just Chandrasekhar, Sureshot, and myself.

Godly King, raised above all
Economies of Summer and Fall,
Religion held close, in its grip,
All that go through Apprenticeship.

A new set of traits, a new beginning.
To build wonders at greater speed,
Gaining more gold from constant fighting,
Expanding without obelisks, there is no need.

Lion strong, lion great,
Lion outside my city's gate.
City made, despite your 2.8 might,
Five turns still lost, you ought be contrite.

A city great and a city that,
Has some pigs to make it fat.
And to the south in a small waste,
Shows incense, to be gathered with haste!

Fellow sentients be seen,
(though none with the color green),
Elves quite Dark, and open to us,
And old dwarves newly ready to discuss.

And with our newfound industrial power,
I'd suggest a new city within the hour,
And though one worker may do his thing,
Perhaps a second? Great speed he'd bring.

I think you really have this poetry thing down, Puck. Though I must admit that it's not as tough as it looks.

I'll grab my turn after I get home from work, around 8:00pm Eastern. If anyone else wants to jump in and play, please do so

Two warriors by the river
curiousity all a shiver
sends them out to search
right next to a giant perch

The survivor runs away
just in time to hear me say
'a new cities on the way
an old cities your new stay'

The previous old cities host
got the privilege to boast
that the frontier city would be
his new guard stational city

Culture war will be
the new goal of Hexkanhold
to that the zealot will be
the answer long foretold
ole kan'drose did also see
and though he's not too pleased with me
a temple and obelisk
will show the benefit of risk
and that fortune favours the bold
and leaves those stumpies in the cold

With our cities spread out the way they are I think maybe a couple of acrobats could really shore up our defenses, that two move might be important.

Well then by all means, when the weekend comes grab a turn. It will work out nicely since I can't play this weekend.
