Succession Game

Here we go; the deed is done,
My turn completed, my time has run.
Though I may not be in a poetic mood,
The attached save is just as good.

A map traded, and a map recieved,
The location of Jonas we'd best heed.
The Grigori landgrabbed, and the the Hippus not,
But the build que shows a settler to be got.

Not much else, it's up to you.
Though I chose Bronze Working, you're free to do
Whatever you like for our next tech,
Just try not to make our empire a wreck.

I disagree with that tech
it's a gamble not needed
but then i said heck
past selves must be heeded

some ramble around
while the bulk all go gather
to quiet the sound
of the orcs who all blather

a bloodbath ensued
at the end of this set
the orcs were all killed and the target was met

An uneventful reign
of building and peace
some drowned to train
some sheep to fleece

Elder council was queued
Where we fight culture war
A carnival it seems
Would help us more

Philosophical, we now feel
And organised as well
spirituality we'll steal
before we send the world to hell

On an opportunity I stood
To start a new church
Leaves temples are good
to leave enemies in the lurch

We should think about war
Severous is started
The hippus are weak
and we are hard hearted

Ok, whats with the poetry?

Havnt read this thread for a while, clearly my fined tune senses should be heeded, and now I see that each player leaves instructions in the form of poetics to the following player?

Im not sure whether or not to be immensely proud, or righteously terrified.

We play Perpentach
poetry just fits the theme
so our reports rhyme

If rhyme gives worry
other forms of poetry
exist, like haiku

I tried some iambic pentameter
but it caused the brain much hurt
be glad I skipped the sonnets
blank verse, my greatest foe

Sheesh, I know I just stole the scheme from haiku and not the rest of the rules, but I didn't think it would cause nausea

Our secondary (highschool) English teachers would be so very proud of us right now.

exegetics of these here poetics
exhibits an act of homiletics, yet
here in these forums, they are
not of that, Just ratherish.

...
I can't write poems, sorry...

I'd normally be up next, but anyone who wants to can feel free to go before me. Just be sure to promptly post the save-file, so no one ends up playing needlessly.

I dont know if I should be
Proud, impressed or worried
to see those upon whom insanity
seems to come so easily

Play among and pretend
Perpentach's voice he gladly lends
Lets just hope it doesnt end
With someone going "Orthus" on their friends
