Sukritact's Civ Selection Screen 6.0

Coincidentally I applied a few weeks back for their UI Designer position and was rejected :(

I'm probably too inexperienced honestly. Maybe when I've graduated college.

Disappointing that they never reach out to us, or work with us. Sorry you didn't get the role, you'd have been an amazing contributor as you are today. Just reimbursed for your great work.

I'd be happy with recognition: an internship offer would be nice :p

The Civ selection screen has now also been redone to match the new Leader Selection screen.

For those who preferred the simpler version that fit in better with the rest of the UI, I direct you to my Civ Selection Screen Simplified. It is an updated but otherwise unchanged version of my original Civ Selection Screen,

hmm, I dunno what I'm doing wrong but I followed the installation steps 100% and it's not working
Your front end folder should look like this:

You must replace any files when prompted.

You should keep it in case you want to revert, but no.

When you say it doesn't work, are there no changes or is the screen broken? This mod will only work if you have the fall patch.
Im pretty sure i have the fall patvch but ill check when home.

the screen work normal, no change at all. looks like vanilla setup screen. ill check when home... i have the game set to high priority for updating tho

Looking at the code: it is not compatible with the Restart button.
Yeah I figured. I like your mod over the Restartmod.

Would your mod work pretty good on the future when they add more Civs or when modders add their own Civs in? Is it setup to allow new Civ to integrate easy? I just ask because I love to see this mod last the test of time, since I don't think Fraxis will ever fix it.

I notice that one of the leaders in the Viking scenerios shows up in the Norway area. I'm sure this wasn't intended.

I'd really like to use this mod, still unsure as to why I can't make it work. I freshly installed just base game an update and the mod. No dice.

Can you tell me/screenshot how exactly you are installing it?

To be clear: this mod is NOT installed like most other mods. You do not drop it in either the Mod or DLC folders: it should go into " D:\Program Files\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization VI\Base\Assets\UI\FrontEnd" or something similar depending on where you installed Civ VI. It WILL replace existing core game files: this means that at the very least it MUST break your setup screen. Verifying your game cache will cause the game to restore the original files and remove the mod.

If it doesn't at least break your civ selection screen, you are going about installation completely incorrectly.

ok, so, the destination where I'm putting these files is:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization VI\Base\Assets\UI\FrontEnd

That's the correct location: sorry if the following bit sounds patronizing, but given how the mod works (literally replacing files) there shouldn't be any way for it to do absolutely nothing.

Download the mod and drop the 7zip file in there. Right click on the file and with whatever archive opening program you have, select "Extract here".

It WILL ask you to replace files. Select "Yes to All".

Then boot up the game. The Civ Selection screen should work like this now:

I followed your steps to a T, and I even used 7zip instead of winrar. No dice.

I can't imagine how this isn't working. I'm not exactly a newb for gaming or modding either :(
