Sullla Posts Civ5 Report

I was thinking about buying Civ 5, but after reading this, I'm glad I didn't. Sounds like Firaxis has a lot of work to do.

The first thing is the fact that they should have stayed away from Steam and kept it the traditional way it always has been. 2nd it needs alot of work. They shortchanged everyone who bought the in store copy, on Babylon, to me it is pathetic. I hope they get their act together. You can't leave a civ out of a civilization game! Babylon is not a huge issue, I am playing without it. But at least they could offer a new civ pack or something, which includes it.

I bought the game. I like it! On the consumer end end of the deal, I feel disappointed!

A harsh review but it's rightly so. I can't understand why it get these high review scores *with a few exceptions)? It seems like most reviewers didn't put enough time in the review.

Sulla is a committed Civ player. He knows the ins and outs of previous games, so he's comparing CIV5 to their good examples when relevant. That's something I doubt most magazine and web reviewers are going to do: they're writing for a more casual audience with lower standards than a dedicated Civ community.

The third game was very entertaining to read, thanks again mr. sullla.
Maybe Deity game in the future? :D
