Yes, let me clarify again. It's a historical 1825 NES. No alt-hist. So there isn't a Germany yet. Nor do I think Prussia even wishes to unify Germany at that point.

Since we are reserving nations and my favourite nations are already gone (Russia, France, China?) I guess I'll take Spain. Now I don't know Latin American history much (or at all), but isn't this about the time when those nations start rebelling? Or have they already done so? If so I might take an Italian nation, play with my ethnic roots.

Sure. Just don't poke fun at my bad placement of cities. Some might think I over-eco centered the map, but I don't believe so. Before, I had too few eco-centers.

Greenland has always been Danish, it's mostly ice north of where the Danes settled, so I see no reason for to leave it blank.
And Alaska, traditionally all of it has been claimed by Russia. When it was bought by America, it really didn't have much settlement, but we bought it within those borders. Also, I believe Russia claimed that her claims(haha, a pun) in Russia extended into Eastern Canada, and into Oregon. She of course, gave up Oregon claims in 1824, or sometime around there.

True..and Wikipedia states in 1825 Russia gave up her claims in Canada as well. So I shall fix it.

No, except for possibly a token North African possession. Seeing that France is in such a bad position, don't you want to turn it over to me? You can have the UK
