Sunday's PAX talk (with summary of the info)

Acutally.. I do think it's Zulu.. the colors.. I recognise them, I saw them in the demo, a part of a green colored nation was seen during i believe the walkthrough of Attila.. or late Dido one..

But I did saw the colours.

If you only saw the colors, how do you know it wasn't the Maya?

Here is the Maya Atatl. It seems to have the same colors.

You can see the colours used in the demo in the minimap here.

That isn't the map.

There were three sepreate demos, the nation I saw was in the second Dido demo then, I know because this shows a fully discovered nation, I saw only a portion.

If somebody can get me a preview of the second demo (There were three saves, I'm looking for the second) with high quality minimap, i can point it out.

P.S - Am it he only one who thinsk the 4 left out techs are comign back (Publishing, Patronage, Balistics and Calculus?)

Why would we trust wikipedia as a source, especially when they specifically said they weren't announcing the final civ?

And more important: Why would we trust wikipedia when we here are quite the superior source for information regarding Civ5 :mischief:?

Yes, it's a light green one. I'd do a screenscap but because the demo/vid is like 5 hours long it's a b***h to actually watch it.

I see it clearly one city in the south it is the Zulu, when he is talking about the Great Prophet etc. Good eyes man! :goodjob:

Never mind wiki look at the demo when he is discussing founding a religion its in the south on the mini map, one city in light green.

Can anyone get a pic of this?

I don't understand how you can be sure it is the Zulu based solely on the colors on the map. You need much more evidence than that to be able to figure out what the unknown civilization is.

Here it is a bit blurry.

You can see it in the top pick I am not sure how to get photobucket to give me a full screen pic. The light green area in the south of the map. Light green with a black dot indicating a city.

That dot below the Carthaginian cities?
I can barely make out the colors.
Could be it the Huns?

While that doesn't encessiarly confirm Zulus.. how on earth could he get accurate color schemes? I don't remember anybody saying "Oh, I wonder what color scheme the X will get".

I think that increases the chance of Zulus.

Besides, Zulus are an iconic civ of Civ, and while everybody dislikes them.. for some reason, you know they gotta be in there once.

You can notice a light green color in the bottom of the seen map.

You mean the dark colored city with the grass green bounds at the very south-center on a separate landmass?

I can't get the video to work, anyone have better luck?

Could that just be the Arabs?

Here it is a bit blurry.

This is the image you're basing the guess of the additional civilization on? Those dots could be any civ, who knows what the colors of the civs are going to be? Why assume the Zulu? I don't get it...

Is it already noted that cities have 100HP?

So, cities aren't as tough as usual. But can units take cities as fast as now?

I personally agree with this. Even if cities can't be taken with a single unit (like a defenseless city in Civ4), they can't be used as strongholds. In other words, we have to avoid the enemy getting close to the city, instead of ''nah, my city has enough defense to handle it''.

Take it with a grain of salt we don't really know. However it does fit the color the Zulu should be. We do need more African civs. And we have been able to tell the new civs from colors on the map. The Celts are present there, Ethiopia, Attila, right? So why would they change the color of the Zulu it makes no sense. All I can say is that the available evidence points in the right direction bonafide.

It's hard to see, we'd need a HD screen of the second demo shown, but there is undoubtely a pastel shade of green. Which matches the colors posted in the sandbox article.

You'll see.. it will be the Zulus... and you will know that I shall be right.. something something dark side.

I am on your side bud. Really I have this feeling, this big time hunch it is the Zulus. You have great eyes there. This is surely rattling some cages already. I love it!

Great, now we'll have Shaka screaming at us in Zulu

I am not opposed to the Zulu being included, and I want another African civ (as you'll see in my continents thread). It may be the Zulu, but I just think a blurry screenshot with a green'ish color on the map and a Wiki article written by some random person are not convincing evidence that it is the Zulu.

It could be the Zulu. I'm just trying to make sure it isn't an old civ and that photo isn't very good.

Was the video taken down?
