If this is the trend in PC gaming, I might have to just stick to console gaming and give up on deeper games... no wonder some of us have concluded that PC games are aiming for less complexity...
Gamespot's "Top PC games of All Time"
The Super Meat Boy review, complete with a number of gameplay videos that remind me of games I was playing 20 years ago.
I'm sure this is old news to some, but today I was looking around for some games to maybe pick up. So I checked several places, including Gamespot, for ideas. I'm not saying it's a bad game, it looks like a fun little free game you'd find on the internet at Addicting Games or something, but tied for the 2nd highest rating for PC Games, all time(!), 20 years after side scrolling platform jumping games were in their heyday?
It feels like I woke up in the 80's or something... just... wow. Either this is a big joke or publishers are getting more blatant about paying reviewers. My head is spinning...
Just thought I'd share, no real point to this post unless someone can maybe point out something I'm missing about this.
