Super Power Modpack - Total Conversion

in my current game the ai's aren't doing so good most are negative in gold some as high as -200. and also some of them are crazy i'm twice as powerful as Sweden yet they just attack me for no reason even after being friends for ages. than they want a peace treaty and are immediately friendly again and want to trade and ask me to help[ them attack Germany?!?!

also it's hard to to protect your borders when you have a limit to units you can build without suffering in production. i'm literally surrounded and can't make enough troops to defend all my borders...
 
Now please try the v4.2, some textures from G&K DLC have been extracted to the mod itself. This may solve some “missing texture” or “broken Tech Tree”. Please inform me if it help or not.

With 4.2 it is only the "Super Power Units" that is missing texturs
 
Cargo Ships aren't working in my game. Can't trade with anyone, not even my own cities. It says that the Plot range is -200,0019 or something like that.

They are working fine for me.


On another note, I have a lot of texture issues too. At first they were completely fine but by the 70th turn it started to missing icons. Lots of black and static spots.
 
i have a .dmp file from DX11 thats causing black screens, how can i upload to you

I don't have tools to open the .dmp. However I could give it to Whoward69 for his debugging work.
You could upload it as an "attachment"
 
Hey there, I have a few bugs to report:
-There is a notice from the beginning of the game that says: "You have a free policy to choose". I cannot choose a policy and it won't go away.
-The Tradition policy "Aristocracy" doesn't work.
-The free Cargo Ship I got from the "Colossus" wonder has a range of -13,7456 plots, I had to sell it because it was unusable. EDIT: I did not have available trade routes, didn't know I couldn't trade with a city-state.

It is still a great mod, really fun to play. Thanks!

-That could be a problem of that some traits achieved with a free policy. Since it not happens on everyone, it is hard to locate the reason and may take some time to fix.
-It should work, since I've seen other players with a Capital plot with 99 production. Please check your files.
-As I've said many times, it is a confirmed Bug with the DLL - Various Mod Components v53 s. It will be fixed later by the update of DLL - Various Mod Components.
If it happens, you may use IGE to “cancel” your Navigation Tech and then put it back. Then it will work fine.

1,Create a backup for this file: TechnologyTweak.xml.
2,Delete all of its content but leave the empty file there: TechnologyTweak.xml
3, Start your game with ONLY the SuperPowerBalance.mod and the DLL.
4, Check what happens with the Tech tree. It will be messed up but if it can roll, there should be something wrong in my codes.

Please inform me what happens and offer me the screenshot. Thank you for your cooperation!

AIs are not so smart so they always play with cheating bonus.
AI can bribe another AI or even human to attack the enemy it hates.
Defending is not so hard. However you must take the advantage of the terrain to stop the AI especially in higher difficult levels.

P.S: what DLCs do you have while using this mod?
 
yeah sorry lincoln, still no scroll bar, I am going to try a complete re-install. maybe something is corrupted with my game files somewhere or something. I dunno cuz there is really no reason for this to be perfectly honest. I see no errors with your code at all, and it's not like I am a coding nub. I am not patting myself on the back or making myself out to be better than I am, but I have taking like 3 years of programming courses and writing xml files and lua's isn't exactly overly difficult, c++ and java is. Your stuff at face value appears to be spot on as usual. The only thing I can think of is something within my game files being boogerd up.

the same tech tree appeared, litterally the same one with the same defficincies

Cant explain much more, its kinda late, but when I played with this mod on marathon, the game was progressing far too quickly, I will try to gather more info ASAP

most ai are like this in my current game. also their all so far behind in tech Sweden was being annoying again so i decided to take some of his cities. i could take a city in 1 attack with my great war infantries! his still stuck in the medieval era. if the ai is supposed to get stronger the stronger i am well it's not working :P

Still didn't do the trick. this is bizarre. i wonder if there is a reference somewhere that is throwing things off kilter somewhere that i'm just not seeing, or grid coordinates are off somewhere in the xml. but if that were the case the problem would be much more wide spread than confined to just a handful of users i would imagine.
 
I think...I just found the issue.

Code:

If I am reading the above correctly, by setting the grid locations AND attaching era classical to that particular tech, it forces the ENTIRE clasical bracket down to that row, at least it should in theory (but i could be wrong, some languagues do that, some don't...meh). Also, in the xml, I am having one helluva time locating the "TECH_AESTHETICS" segment to try and test moving the era_classical header there to see if my theory works. did you name it something different or did i find a booboo?
