i have seen that is a uslual problem in your First post about this mod , and i Know it happens in vanilla maps

but what are vanilla maps and how do i found no vanilla maps

this post is not a joke , im not good at comps and English is not my First languge so please guys help
 
okay it looks like it happens at any tech along side genetic engineering. just to be clear, i am only running dll 66 superpower 5 and in game editor (That i have tried turning off but it makes no difference.) Please please help as i love this mod the ai is so good as well, you actually have to fight for your survial and ensure you have strong armed forces to deture agressors not to mention a ton of oter decent features , units ,buildings etc, i really want to finish a game :)

sorry dude i am not sure what you mean, but if u r trying to play a predesgned map u should just be able to put one in your maps folder and select it in game setup.
cant i say i have tried myself though so cant be 10% sure.
in any event i cant get past the technology problem preventing me from continuing the game.
 
Hello! Good day. I'm new in the forums, so still feeling my way around. Anyway, first of all, great mod! I only usually download wonder mods, since I like building wonders, so this is my first time to try a total conversion mod and I'm happy to say that I've enjoyed it. At first I did encounter the problem with not being able to load saved games, but after a few tries (trying a new game then saving again) it seems ok now. So, playing as Venice and currently going for a (surprise) Diplo victory. But...

I actually have couple of questions for anyone there who's had the bugs and found a work-around:

I had that issue with not being able to see strategic resources (i.e. iron, horses, etc.), but I followed the creator's advice and tried the Yet (not) Another Earth Maps Pack by Gedemon (wonderful earth map)<with true starting locations>. However, when I play as Venice, sometimes when I randomize and my opponents are too close to me (including CityStates), I get to see their settlers just standing there. Even after a couple of turns, they don't found their cities. While not really a problem, I just want to know if anyone knows a random map generator (I really love playing in Archipelagos) that would work with this mod that would avoid the Strategic resource issues (not showing up) but also avoid the Settler issue I have?

Oh, hello again. After looking at the XML files (might I stress that I am extremely incompetent at this, though I did try very hard), while looking at the codes for the policies, specifically at 'Free Speech, I think it was named as Treaty Organization, I was looking to tweak it since I play as Venice so aside from the gold bonus, the bonus to puppets was kind useless to me. Hmm, but when I looked at the file 'PoliciesEffects', there was no reference to anything about puppet cities. Though there was something there for Iron Curtain and Dictatorship of the Proletariat. I hope somebody can check this and verify! Thank you!

Hello, anyone had a problem with luxury resorces not showing up at all?
I tried to play a game on "continents" map and played 50 turns or so and I failed to find a single luxury (the same applies to horses and iron).Then I selected the "legendary start" in advanced setup but I only got 2x deer and 1x stone.My civ version is 1.0.3.144.Are there any DLCs i absolutely have to turn off to play this mod?I have Gods and kings,brave new world,scrambled continents,wonders of the ancient world,explorer's map pack,korea,spain,Denmark,mongolia,inca,babylon and polynesia DLCs
Btw i'm a complete newbie so I'm not using any other mods(just the mod "various dll mod components v .66")
edit:Would anyone mind pm-ing me download link for a civ 5 version that works with this mod?

Hi , im a newbie to and had the same question and ofc nobody reply to me :D

then i found couple of MOD maps that you can play and there are resources :D but some ( sorry for my bad english ) how its called circeles above the units !?!?!? are scrambled on special units ... but it much more playable with this tiny bug

Long time follower of this mod, and super glad to see it's being continued.

Fantastic improvements made; the tech tree feels much better, the "wonder units" add flavor without being overpowered; the new promotion tree also works very well, with it being harder to keep units alive long enough to reach the "super-soldier" tier.

I appear to have hit a snag in my current game, though; it seems that if I venture too close to a certain area the game crashes. Everything else has worked perfectly (except Gatling guns don't seem to be producible after researching the tech for land ironclads...?) but getting too close to a particular French spot results in some bad times.

Additionally, it seems like my Nautilus being too close to one French area in general seems to crash the game during the AI turn -- from this, I'm assuming there's something wrong with a french unit or something that when it comes into view the game commits sepoku. Anyone have any possible input for this?
 
Absolutely loving the 5.0 changes. I'm using Perfect World 3 to generate a water-ful world that doesn't have all the problems of Continents, Large Islands or Continent Plus, and it's a great experience. The pontoon bridge has given me an idea for a suggestion: Canals. The continent that I'm on in my current game is sprawling, and difficult to defend, but has many narrow isthmuses, 2 or 3 tiles wide. A city + a canal tile improvement would add some strategic use and realism. It should probably require a lot more effort/maintenance than a typical tile improvement though.

There's a workaround for canals, by allowing ships to enter coastal forts. This mod by whoward does this and if you have a passable fort on both coasts of a 2-tile isthmus then your ships can pass through.

Is there a fix for the "Saves CTD" thing? I checked my saves are all 14 kb large and always crash to desktop. I tried what was sugested in 4.0 (clear cache, delete civiopideia text, run Direct X 9 version) but nothing.

I like this mod very much and would like to play it but if I can't save then it's obviously a no go ;)

Hey if anyone's savvy with modding, can someone please tell me how I can get France's original Civ Bonus? I rather liked the double theme bonus more than the one they have now in this mod.

I am having what I believe to be the same problem.

1. No tree scrolling

2. At industrial era the tech dialogue box disappears so I can't select new technologies. This doesn't happen consistently at the same place.

I am running the most current version of Civ5 and BNW from Steam. I have BNW, G&K, Korea, and Conquest of the New World running. I am subscribed to several other mods but only have Super Power V5 and DLL V66 running. I tried clearing cache and log, and it doesn't seem to make a difference.

Please help! This is the best Civ5 mod I have played and I would really love to finish it. Thanks!

Great mod, but when i start a game, there are only one or two ressource and no luxury resource or old ruin at all on the map.

Some details: Yes i installed it in right order, no i dont use any other mods expect of EUI (where i removed the cityview.lua and the toppanel.lua) i also removed the things in moduserdata

I hope someone can help me

although promising to be the best available CiV5 mod available so far, but the latest version launched in march is a mere beta with many technical tweaks to be fixed (the concepts & gameplay are fine)

unless the editor fix the issues of particularly savegame files and resource allocation on maps (I believe they are quite simple to do), this brilliant mod will remain disappointingly unplayable.
