How is it possible that people who are still playing civ2 do not like alpha centauri??? In my view AC is the next step of the civ-saga and is in fact one of the greatest games ever! Why are there discussions about settlers and engineers for civ3? Isn’t the existence of settlers and terraforming-units in AC answer enough? The visitors of this forum are really strange!!

hehe... you shouldn't say that 'cause you are one of them too.

I think the main reason the Alpha Centauri forum is not very active is because we don't cover it. I do agree SMAC is a very very good game.

I played smac for some time before obtaining civ2.

Yeah, I love SMAC, but this is really a Civilization site, which is what I'm thinking about when I come here.
