I was gonna get to this yesterday, but it slipped my mind, and I'm addicted to AWD now .

I'm gonna take madrid to get wines (they have wines, and I bet they're there) and more techs. Then it's builder time, letting the AI make their cities more powerful and therefore more valuable to them.

Pre-turn- Looks good.

1. Veii buids settler to temple (nothing else to build). Lutetia worker courthouse.

2. nada. Stopped keeping track of builds, cause noone cares.

3. nada

4. Move in on madrid. Madrid is founded on wines.

5. fail to take madrid, but I make trajan. Neapolis riots. Whoops.

6. Make army.

7. Attack madrid again. It's heavily defended. THe next player may be the one who takes it.

8. I've exhausted us trying to take madrid, and they are about to take some cities w3e can't defend, so I make peace, and give 160 and 1 per turn for currency and construction.

9. Theo offers me lit for currency, but I delcien.

Little free land. No 20 turn deals? Oh, it was just 1 gpt, we had more lump sum gold, I was just tired of starting over with a larger sum, so I added 1 pgt.

I suppose it doesn't really matter. We also aren't supposed to break the 20 turn peace deals.

And yes, during my turns we were running out of good land to settle. We should focus on infra now, especially since we can now build markets (that temple in Veii should probably be switched to one, too, unless we want to get more culture without waiting for libs).

Temples alrady done. It started on a something. Oh, by the way a second ring city started the FP. IMO second ring cities are the best for FP's, they build it relatively quick, and it actually has some effect.

The riots, gpt deal, and failure at Madrid were disappointing.

Neapolis, our Statue of Zeus city, has a taxman for no reason. Next player please assign this citizen so this city can grow and also cut 4 turns off of SoZ.

I can't understand the Courthouse build in Tarentum, a tundra fishing village north of Rome. Alas, some people do care keeping track of builds. Clearly this needs to be a Harbor. Same deal at Lutetia with a Courthouse. I think a Temple, Granary, Barracks or Harbor would all be more useful. Nicomedia is also building a Courthouse.

We also desperately need Monarchy.

An effort must be made to reach the other continent. I cannot see that a single attempt has been made.

Next player please play 11 turns, to get back on the regular cycle, as this save was at 230 AD and not 250 AD.

Are there any MA wonders we want? Sun Tzu's? Leo's? Sistene? Smiths? Bachs? I wouldn't mind some of the happiness wonders, but Leo's and Sun Tzu's don't seem worth the shields.

I would like to see us build embassies with the other nations with our 639 gold +51 per turn, so that we can keep track of their wars.

Note that with our current gold, and our embassy in England, we can make an immediate steal attempt. This would be a nice way to get Monarchy. Since war is only slowing down the AIs, we should strongly consider using espionage to get our technology.

preturn - lots of build changes. out with the courts, get some 5 galleys building.
no wars right now, we want them to heal up.

1- Pompeii legion > harbor, Palmyera legion > temple,
Syracuse FLIPS to the english, taking a legion with it.
since england has Lit, Republic, Monarchy and Feudalism....
move forces to get to kingship.

2- Veii rax > settler (i see about 4 new towns waiting),
move units towards england.
upgrade 3 warriors (180g)
embassy to vikings (50g)
embassy to byzantines (35g)
and madrid (34g)
got troops ready to take liverpool and warwick next turn. hope it will be enough for monarchy.

3- Cumae galley > galley, Valencia worker > temple,
declare on england and move in.

ibt- spain boots us.

4- Byzantium galley > worker, Viroconium legion > legion,
grab Liverpool without loss.
warwick defends with a warrior and kills an E legion?

5- Jerusalem galley > cat,
sink an english galley.
some suicide galleys are ready.

6- Veii settler > settler, Brundisium settler > temple, Aurelium worker > temple,
kill a pike, lose a legion on Syracuse.
kill 2 spears on warwick, still a warrior left there.
some english MDIs and Pikes around.

ibt- kill a couple of swords on defence.

goodthing the army has just arrived. it should sort things out there.

take peace. monarchy for 180g.
revolt and draw 7 turns.
MM most towns to not riot, but some will starve. atleast we have quite a few taxmen keeping the revenue up.

i suggest our next war be against the vikings as they have become the power block around here. but against Zerks? maybe later.
next turn set should be all about BUILDING.
and please. we care about the builds and thier reasoning.

I love the pointy stick, and wasn't interested in this SG at first cause I thought trading was allowed. Let's keep it pointy stick, GL makes it too easy, even though we'll only get 10 techs. The challenge is not conquering the world before space, and 10 techs is a lot of cities.
