Switching Same Game PBEM and Simultaneous

This may have been on a thread before but I'm trying to figure out how to play the same game PBEM and then real time on-line. I can start off a game on-line, and then convert it to PBEM, but not vice versa (when I go to PBEM from real time the same civ shows up on both comps). One downside is the pw feature no longer works.

Has anyone figured out how to do this? Or heard that it will be addressed in the expansion? It would greatly improve multiplayer options for people like me who can't coordinate consistent times to be on-line with other folks.

It is posibble to convert a PBEM to Simutaneous, but not the other way round.

To do this, simply host a multiplayer game, and set the game type to "Load Game", and select you PBEM game. The problem here is that it does not ask you for your password, so you could play as any active Civ in that svae game.
