I hope it wont be necesseary to upgrade to windows 7 because i hate it

1) There is a fix to make it 3GB
2) There will be 64bit compatibility!
Not enough ram. 1 gig minimum I would guess, 2 gigs recommended.amd athlon(tm) 64 x2 dual core processor 5000+ 2,61 ghz 512 RAM these are my full system specs could i run civ v?

There is no fix to this integer, its a hard coded system limitation.
We're already putting Athlon 64 on the scrapheap at work.amd athlon(tm) 64 x2 dual core processor 5000+ 2,61 ghz 512 RAM these are my full system specs could i run civ v?
Good way to ruin a computer possibly, but interesting, the thing is games are written with a 2 gig limit in mind, so even if the os will let you assign more then 2 gigs, I wonder if the games will actually use it.

So, still no system specs - with less than 100 days till the release date? I am disappointed.
I was wondering if anyone had any idea if my Macbook would have any chance of running Civ V via Bootcamp.
Thanks!
Specs-
Processor: 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo (P7350/P8600)
Memory: Two slots for PC3-8500 DDR3 SDRAM (1066 MHz) 2 GB (two 1 GB)
Expandable to 4 GB I only have 2GB now, would it make much of a difference to expand to 4?
Graphics: Integrated Nvidia GeForce 9400M with 256 MB shared with main memory
(up to 512 MB available in Windows through Boot Camp)

My computer is in the loft, in a bucket of water. Can it run civ 5?
For Civ5 that will fly, even with "just" 4 GB. Read this thread and the article referenced therein. With the new threading and job distribution they worked with Intel to even squeeze 30 fps out of an intel GMA.I'm replacing my old Intel Dual Core 3.2GHz, 2GB RAM, GEForce 9600 512MB desktop. Since I'm going to be trekking from home to work to the university every day, I gotta get a laptop, so I'll be paying more for lesser specs. However, hopefully this will run CiV, as it will be my new base specs on the laptop:
Intel i7-720QM (Quad core 1.6GHz/2.8 Turbo, 6MB Cache)
4GB DDR3 1066 (might up it to 8 if it needs it)
Dedicated ATI Radeon HD 5450 1GB
