Takes 2 hours to launch Civilization 5

I was wondering why I got an error telling me to wait a few minutes before trying to launch Civ 5 because they weren't done updating because the servers were busy. So .. . I waited a few and went back to the PC and started it up. . . that was at 6:30. It is now 7:47 and still loading.

How do I hurry it up?
