Taking the leap from Prince to Monarch, I NEED HELP!

I didn't play Warlords on its own, upgraded from original straight to BTS. So i dont know if there is a huge difference, but anyways. ( BTW I play with no technology trading allowed )

- Have you tried building Caravans?
( That is what keeps my research running, i am constructing a caravan in one of my cities all the time. Gives me around 200-250 coins per Caravan, divided by the number of turns its getting build = 15 to 40 coins per turn )

I tried two of your starts - The hannibal one and the american one (washington was it?), the maps were actuall quite good, and the huts were great seemed to have lots of luck, however whats got me stumped is how soon the barbs start appearing and how many of them are showing up, it's happening a lot faster than i'm used to, and i seem to be getting caught off guard ....

Are you playing with raging barbs on or something? Or is it just a difference between Warlords & BTS??? I dont know but either way, somethings different.

Agreed! And as far as I'm concerned, the 1/10 would be when you should go work boat first.

hi! i am new to the forums and i have a tip if you are in the corner of the world and 1 or 2 ai's are completely stopping you from expanding cultivate them make them happy so that they can watch your borders for youand you can easily cruise to diplomatic victory on any difficulty.hope this helps.
