Team Amazon pitboss

If someone is harm by this and since it is early in the game, I agree we can restart.

And just an idea, which I had proposed to 2 pitbosses already and it never actually worked, but who knows- the third time can be lucky :)

If we all can gather together online at given time - when Sommers says the server will be up and running ok, we can replay the first 20 turns like in simultaneous lobby game - in 1 hour we will advance to the very same time position where we are now and then we can continue as an ordinary pitboss with any timer we deside on.

I am available from 6 PM GMT to 6 AM GMT - if need be, I will put an allarm to wake up in the night and play :)

It is obvious there is a bug in the game. The problem is not with the flood plain but with my grassland cow, which is my only food. It gives 2 food instead of 3.

I don't know what is happening with the host pc and why it gets the files not much error. I had the same error some months ago and had to reinstall everything.

What I would suggest is take a save, uninstall, clean registry with a reg cleaner reboot and reinstall game. Then load the save and lets see if everything is all right.

Not sure, but if some paths are wrong, it may interfere with the game functionality.

I don't know. I like the turn-a-day pace - why I signed up. If anything, it's actually a bit taxing to keep with this 12hr schedule, esp. as it's really been more like a 9-10hr schedule with everyone ending turn quickly.
 
Re-install in-progress... Gosh what a pain:sad:... Anyway, I am inclined to suggest that maybe the folks who were having the problem with the food also re-install just to be on the safe side, but I realize what a pain that is, believe me:(... so maybe we should just check to see if game is working after the pitboss CPU reinstall finishes.

I will post here when the game is back up, and follow Indiansmoke's suggestion of trying to reload from a save instead of a total re-start, so we dont have to replay all the tedious first turns.
 
:whew:... what an ordeal:sad:...

So after literally nine hours fighting with my old @$$, pitboss desktop:badcomp:, I have finally uninstalled, reinstalled, re-patched, reloaded, re-uploaded, re-civstated, and re-played my turn. :crazyeye:. I took Indiansmokes advice and loaded from a save. I used 3560 BC, which is 3 turns earlier then where it was when we shut it down to reinstall.

I dont see any problems (but then again I wasnt having any in the first place;)), but at least the "files don't match host" error is gone thank the lawd :yeah:

Anyway the game is back up:). I logged in and paused after taking my turn. I request everyone does the same so that everyone else realizes that the game is back up. Those who were having problems, please verify whether the error message is gone and that it is working now.
 
I don't get the file host error anymore but my food is still missing.

That is just bizarre. :confused:

I guess we need to try rolling another map. Wish we knew what the problem was, so it can be avoided on a re-roll. Was there anything in any way weird about the settings?
 
Thanks Indiansmoke for the screenshot. With no other choice, I am stopping the game to re roll a new map. All settings will be the same except the timer will start out at 12 hours. Please pause after you play, to give everyone a chance to check in.

I will post again as soon as the game is up.
 
Yes, despite how much I hate re-rolls (usually I get a hell worst start the second time :D), I would say that we have no other choice. Only hope not to lose someone in the process.

Before anyone complains about their start, I will say that I expect that some will feel their start is worse. I am truly sorry we had to re-roll, and I hope that all the problems are gone. One thing is for sure, though, with the fresh install, and no error message, and re-rolled map, at least we will know that any glitches come from individual CPUs, not the Pitboss CPU or the map.
