Team Pitboss Game

I logged in, and realized that the turn had flipped. Then checked civstats, and saw that dick managed to play his turn, and ended it manually. So I logged out, and reloaded the game from the turnflip autosave :)

Great. He does not has access to our forums, so communicating with him is difficult. Glad that everything worked out.

Hi,

I do not understand the concern of me being "spoiled" - you took two of my cities and obviously saw a lot of my territory, city defenses etc. Anyway, I am not supposed to mimic AI moves so naturally you will adjust your movements, so I do not see any problem with spoiling on my side.

The concern is that you got spoiled on which two cities I captured. You were able to find out in what way I captured them and now you were able to defend it properly. It is not certain you would have been able to do that if you were not spoiled.

could you discuss such matter at PM? Logically I should not even know you were at war

I have no idea what you are talking about, I did not move any extra units to the city you captured - perhaps AI deserted it for you when I could not play?. BTW, you never tried to capture any of my big cities knowing that you have a human opponent ;-) But the "replayed" battle somehow ended much better for you than the first time around

Arkipeller is right, btw. If you think you have a case, go to our game admin, Caledorn. Otherwise, just try to capture cities from not very competent, but alive opponent ;)

No, you didn't move any units to the city. You moved your stack to the hill tile which flipped to me during interturn, if you wouldn't have, my knights would have reached your city and razed it again.

I'm not certain you would have moved your stack to that tile exactly the turn before it flipped if you didn't know which larger city was razed in the first place.

About the dead great general, I think that was caused by a different attack order. I probably attacked your city first after reloading, and vice versa before. Or the other way around.

I've lost so much interest in this game lately, you will probably have Maga as an owner of the whole island instead of me in the end. But I'll try to play my turns atleast.

Play on, guys and gals. One or two razed cities rarely change much in the big picture.

Yeah, I'm definitly not reloading again. I'm just curious why one or two razed cities mattered so much last time we reloaded.

Hi Majic,

as Arkipeler pointed out, it is better to air this grievances privately. I gave 2metra my instructions what to to when I left and I planned to attack SF again if you would not attack any of my cities. The tile, to my surprise, flipped to your control after
I moved my army - I had no idea it would happen so it was in no way my reason to move the units there.

I am still interested in peace, so you have an easy way to prevent me "being the owner of the whole continent" ;) BTW, you say yourself that my army is strong enough to conquer whole continent, but on the other hand you think that you should be able to take "by surprise" the city from which it was stationing 1-move away while it would take you 3 moves to get there? I had no idea about the culture flip, but since you where openly roaded to attack me I counter-attack myself. As they say, offense is a best defense ;-)

If you think I did something unnatural that was somehow motivated by knowing your plans - which I did not know, as I was not suppose to mimick AI moves so I was not expecting to play the same way either - please notify Cal and resolve it in a proper manner. You can for example ask couple military expert whether there was something wrong in my game play, I also sent written instruction to 2metra about my game plans - although I do not agree that they would be disclosed to you before the game ends, but I have not problem with third-party experts reviewing them.

As I said, you still have many options in game or outside: make peace with me, ask for some kind of punishment for me if you truly believe I did something wrong, ect.
Posting all these complaints while saying at the same time you do not want a reload is somewhat strange

Help needed!

I am playing on Mac, and as a result my pause/unpause button is not working. The game is currently on pause, with 2+hours left. I planned to play my turn quickly, but since I cannot unpause it I will go to sleep now, it is late at night my time.

Two requests:
* please do not unpause the game in the next 10 hours (before 8 am Pitboss time)
* I will need somebody to unpause it for me later, as my virtual machine somehow has problems with keyboard and "pause/unpause' is not working.

Thanks!

Say the time in GMT, I can ask Dick to do this for you.

BTW, do unpause right now works for you?

What Virtualization software are you using?

I am using Virtual Box on Mac and F8 should be my pause/unpause button, but it does work, I do not why.

I am taking kids to the Zoo now :), so if somebody can please unpause for me 7 hours from now would be great.

@2metra: I am afraid it is not good time for Dick76, will be 2am your time. Need to be somebody on my side of the pond ;)

Whoops, a couple hours late on that, sorry. Well, I just unpaused now, 2:59 on it when i did. Hope you can get to this Maga, i'll keep a eye on it tonight

Thank you team for your patience - looks like I am a continuing source of trouble ...:(
