You're coming to Norway? :D

I hope, one day :-) Once sailed pretty close, but the winds where not cooperating.

And of course you know very well what I meant  But I have only now noticed how many of our members are from Norway or the vicinity.

You should come here, but unless you're very fond of snow and cold weather, I recommend a summertime visit. :)

I'm just being silly. ;) I like being silly :D

I actually do prefer snow and reasonable cold to tropical sun and would choose pine trees every day over palms. You would have never guessed it based on where I am currently living  And I like you - being silly or not ;)

Unless you are visiting a tropical greenhouse.... there is no palms in Norway. We did not need the Iron Working either, due lack of jungle.
Caledorn and I are friends in real life, but I don't know Tobias... I've stalked his facebook thou.

But yeah...you should visit!

Lol, no, I am not leaving in a tropical greenhouse, but sort of close - on a tropical island with ~1,000 inhabitants, most of them seasonal. Palms everywhere, they are first things I see in the morning, still cannot get used to it. Sort of close to pop-culture idea of a paradise ;-) But ironically, I prefer the kind of weather and environment you guys have in Norway - I miss so much coniferous trees and love lakes with not so warm water. Although white nights are probably too much for me ;-)

I hope to visit one day - cold does not scare me, it is not that difficult to deal with if you are prepare - down jackets etc. Heat is much worse, the only solutions I found so far is either dive in into water, or stay locked in the air-conditioned area. But you and Cal would probably love it for the first couple of weeks, most visitors from Europe do. Let me know if you ever on the other side of the pond.

Hello,

I still hope there is an innocent explanation for what is happening and this is some kind of a misunderstanding that can be resolved amicably.

But so far situation is getting increasingly ugly. While I was at work, a war was declared on me. Before I was able to log in into game again, my opponent actually played another turn already, without waiting for me, even though they are still 18 hours left on the timer. I will not be able to log into game for a couple of more hours - and most importantly the in-game pause is not working for me - so I cannot pause the game myself.

The most surprising part of the situation is that I actually have a long-term NAP with the person who has just attacked me - so that is why I still believe this whole situation is some kind of misunderstanding, not a blatant rule breaking. This is my first MP game, so I am not sure what are the rules about NAP breaking, but I guess these are purely honorable agreements, and the only consequence to the NAP-breakers is their tarnished honor?

But I do hope that if somebody was double moved so blatantly as I was during the war, the game administrator will step in to enforce the rules, if I will not be able to resolve the issue amicably with the offender? I do not have pre-war screenshots - I did expect this - but civstats leave no doubts as to what just happened.

I do not request any action before the turn rolls other than pause at the time, I have already contacted the offender proposing how this situation can be mended without a reload, as I am sure reload will be inconvenient for everybody. Just please give us a bit of time with the pause - thanks everybody in advance for the patience.

There are no rules for NAP breaking. This is all between players and a matter of trust and reputation. Good thing is people learn very quick which players tend to break their NAPs and then those guys just cant get a NAP anymore. Not only in this game, but in following games too. And being the only one who all your neighbors have no NAP with pretty quick evolves in being everyone's target.

For the double- move part, thankfully there are common rules and the host can act as admin for the game and reload to a point before the double- move happened.

This shouldn't be any problem. I and Maga have a NAP, in the NAP deal was (among other things) included that Maga would unvassal Dick so that I could attack Dick. Maga hasn't unvassaled Dick for whatever reason dispite me bringing it up several times. In the end I sent a PM to Maga telling her I would attack Dick, and didn't consider her a part of the DoW. She didn't reply to this for several days (despite being active on the forums, so she must have read the PM), so I went ahead and attacked.

I consider me and Maga not in war, which mean she isn't affected by the timesplit, which mean I cannot double move on her. In civstats you can clearly see that I waited until dick had played his turn before I logged in again.

LOL, I think here was miscommunication. Dick had told me (he cant read and write in here, as he is not a member of our team) that Majic and Maga had agreed that they have NAP but the moment Maga releases Dick from vassalage he will attack him. Where I think Majic gave the NAP with clear presumption that Maga WILL release Dick from vassalage, so he can attack him as compensation for giving NAP to Maga.

Uhh, I checked the PM exchange again. It is me who is wrong, I've been following my proposal instead of the response I got from Maga. I apologize for all this mess, I will gift back the cities I captured.

I only blame me and the stupid reply system in PMs. >.<

No, there was no miscommunication.
As it turned out there was miscommunication.

Good to see that it is already resolved. If such resolution is OK by Maga and Dick too of course. :crazyeye:

I missed that part when the things got explained, but I understand that it is resolved in the sense that we agree that the war should not be declared, and Mayic is ready to make appropriate amends, that is to offer peace in game, return Dick's cities in-game and make reasonable repairs for other losses Dick and I suffered. It does not seem that anything was done in game yet, but since there is good will now we should be able to address it quickly.

I was always hoping that there was no bad intent on your side, but last couple of turns have been really nerve-wrecking for me and I guess must be even worse for Dick. Glad it got resolved so quickly, when I was sleeping :D
