Temporary alliance with Egypt?

The last Greek city, Ephesus, will probably be well within Egyptian borders, too far for our cavs to traverse without being kicked out, making it near impossible to capture the last Greek city without sending galleons (or transports) all the way around Egyptian lands. We could ask Egypt for a temporary alliance once we're about to attack Knossos. We could even save the southern-most Greek city to lure Egyptian forces into our territory so that we can attack them. (giving Egypt a rep-hit because they're in our territory).

Remember, if Egypt's territory is more than 3 tiles across, our cavs aren't gonna make it. If Egypt sees more than 3 units in their territory, they'll probably force us to leave. It's only letting Egypt take the last Greek city for us, temporarily.

Perhaps we could ignore Ephesus and simply take out the rest of Greece. Then, as we declare war on Egypt a few turns later, we could attack that city as part of the Egyptian campaign. We would take a slightly higher chance of a culture flip somewhere, but we could easily retake any city that flips, and in all probability we won't lose one to a flip anyway.

We could possibly do that (and I've left room for that option in the battle plans).

Why should we care about the reputation of one whose death is imminent?

Since Egypt's death is imminent, I agree with Bootstoots that the capture of Ephesus could be an early part of the Egyptian campaign without too high of a risk (we're so superior to those Greeks anyways).
