Term 2 Office of the Chieftain

I have said this in the poll but i would like to be warlord when the office is created.

I'm not clear on who issued orders for the 3rd city in the past turnchat. Was it:
- the Elder of the city?
- the Chieftain?
- the DP? (same as Chieftain?)?

Couldn't really tell from the summary.

Anyway, would a Library or Granary be a better effort for City #3 and let the other cities build and send fighting units? This would help 3 get bigger culturally and physically sooner.

The Elder didn't post orders, therefor the DP was responsible.

Correct, the Elder CivGeneral never gave orders for his city, so I, as DP, chose them for him. Dutch and I discussed it in the chat and ended up with a warrior.

The Elder CivGeneral doesn't even have a thread yet
(A PM might be appropriate)

I apologize for the delay. I have been under preasure to get my work done for college so that I can graduate on time. It shall not happen again .

Both the City thread and the queue discussions are up.

I don't think the Elder could be appointed until the city was settled, so the end result was correct anyway. :)

Careful with that "discussed it in the chat" thing, the Honorable Temporary Justice might take issue with it. :mischief:

Deputy DaveShack,

What will we be researching next? Horsebackriding, Ironworking, or something else?

I suggest Iron Working, it's cheaper than HBR, and it will locate iron.

I agree with iron working especially as iron will play an important part in our miltary though the middle ages, although horse archers i have found are more useful than swordsmen although i have only used them in multiplayer games where the oppements only build axemen.

Since there hasn't been a poll, it's gonna be tough determining what the people want.

BTW I'm out of town for a business trip, so getting enough online time to organize these decisions is gonna be interesting. :crazyeye:

Do we want to delay the game session so we can put it to a vote?

It looks like Iron working is the top choice right now... so I could just go with that.

However, we also have no instructions for Trades yet....

I wish to present a suggestion for the worker orders for the Third City (Currently going to be renamed to Gold+Cows)

Worker Orders/Suggestions

Key: Brown - Road network to be built

First - Road from the River 2 tiles SE of the Third City up to the City itself. Then road the cattle and gold. Farm the Cattle first and then Mine the gold.

I'll buy the road to the city first, but then doesn't it make sense to build the pasture next? We can use the increased production from the cows much sooner than we need the health benefits. Worry about the road after we get the extra food/hammers.

I'm going to postpone this game session until the 18th, to allow for a poll to better clarify our next tech. Looking at the discussion there did not seem to be a clear consensus as to which tech that should be, and there is no poll for that tech. I will start a new poll in order to allow for a vote on the matter.

I also would like if the Acting Chieftain to give more concise instructions for Trades and Worker assignments. However there does appear to be a consensus for trades (Pottery for Archery), that I can use as a guide, along with Elders' improvement requests.
