Term 3 - Quirinal Province

Dear Governor,

I am writing to apologize for the recent errors I made regarding the instructions for your province. I do not know how the build queue regarding the spearman/temple was overlooked on my part but rest assured that in the future I will take much more care in doing the build queues of all the governors. Please accept my apologies in this matter.

The laborer instructions are more than just an oversight as I engaged in an incredible amount of micromanaging these last turns in an effort to keep our science rate up at 70% without running a deficit (per domestic leader instructions). In some cities both food and shield produciton was sacrificed in the effort to keep our treasury our of the red. I am not sure at this time if the city in question was part of this fund raising effort or not. (I do not have access to the game right now.) Another trouble with the laborer instruction process is that (generally) the game play instruction thread is consulted during the preturn and instructions for later turns are difficult to remember and/or find again in the heat of game play. This also affects requests for worker actions. We need a more efficient way of posting instructions so that those pertianing to turns after the preturn are consoolidated into one post in the game play instruciton thread. Perhaps our VP would go through the various game play instructions and copy those for the later turns into a single post itemizing them per turn. Of course this would require that governors not post instructions at the last minute.

If you can help to formulate a more efficient means of posting post-pre-turn instructions it would be greatly appreciated and would be a great service to your country as well.

Thank you,
donsig

Dear President,
I thank you for the apology, and I would myself like to apologize for carrying it too far by filing a PI against you for trivial offenses. I will not PI you or any future President again due to small oversights, keeping in mind the grand scheme of things.

It may be best if you played the preturn along with the chat as is normally done, rather than in a separate offline session. This way, leader and governor instructions conducted after the preturn stand a much lesser chance of being forgotten. The idea you had for the VP sounds like a great idea, and I'm sure that CG would be willing to do it.

Again, thank you for your apology, which I accept completely.

Thank you,
Bootstoots

Dyer Maker - You have been made Mayor of Gingerbread City. Please create a city thread, with a screenshot of your city's radius. Thanks! Now we just need one more mayor!

Perhaps we could get started on the Provincial Government idea, which might be able to be implemented now that we have four mayors.

But I do play the pre-turn along with the chat. The only special off-line preturn was the one where we established the embassy with Babylon and renegotiated our peace treaties. I think the best way to find these oversights quickly is to you the pre-turn save that is uploaded after the pre-turn is complete. Anyone is free to download that save and check around for any mistakes that are made in pre-turn. Any that are found can be brought to the DP's attention during the chat and corrected right then and there. :)

ZZZzzz..

*Mara Jade suddelny wakes up

What what? The VP can actualy get to do something :D.

@donsig - Maybe that would be the best way to do it, come to think of it. I should have downloaded the preturn save then; I had just downloaded the one after the turnchat and didn't bother with the preturn.

Also, I would appreciate it if my mayors posted build queue suggestions. I will post the build Quirnial build queue this evening or early tomorrow morning.

From the Jade House

Dear Govenor Boots,

Please have your Build queues ready by 10am EDT tomorrow. I am gathering all Govenor's orders into one post so that the DP would not have to rumage around the Instructions thread for Provance instructions.

Thanks,
CivGeneral

Vice President CivGeneral (or Mara Jade),
I will try to have them ready by 9am EDT, and probably sometime this evening. This is why I requested that all mayors wishing to post build queues should do so at this time.

Governor Bootstoots,

I have been submitting my suggestions in the city thread. Do you want them here instead / also?

Id be quite happy to be the mayor of South Bootia, but i dont have a clue how the Demogame works, and what this postion would involve...

Well, I'll appoint you anyway. :D If you are active for a week or so, you'll have pretty much figured out the demogame. Just look at the active threads as well as the FAQ, the rules, etc. All you have to do as mayor is set up a city thread and you are encouraged but not required to post build queues for your city.

Just an announcement: We have added two new cities, Shaitan and PDX III! We will need mayors for these new cities, so if you're interested, you can sign up here.

suggestions for gbc

1. Temple
2. Courthouse
3. Library

this post is 710AD, but i have recieved information from the govenor that this city still produces Library.

1. A temple is cheaper than a library. Also, when the upcoming switch to democracy is made we might need the decrease in unhappiness depending on how lux trade deals look.

2. Since GBC has shown signs of having high corruption and waste* AND is located in a high production site, we could gain many shields by putting up an early courthouse.

*
out of 3 shields, 2 goes to waste
out of 4 shields, 2 goes to waste
out of 5 shields, 3 goes to waste
