We dont have the ability to achieve culture victory anymore in civ4 it is well and truly out the window, to achieve one you have to turn research off after cavs pretty much. This puts us at the mercy of anyone attempting space as their tanks can just roll right through us.

To me seeing as we have no direct threat we should be cottage spamming now.

ok, from the looks of the map there is half of the world below us... We are in the northern hemisphere (because of tundra up north and jungle down low), of course Rik could be attempting to confused us by not following the what the random map generator does...

Soon we need to get another couple warriors out exploring, when we can afford the production

I'm not sure warriors will be enough if barbs have axes now. Might be worth sending an horse archer when we get one. Also a galley to follow the coastline southwards will give us an indication of any other teams in the area

I was thinking we sent warriors out exploring,i noticed quite a few possible land bridge spots, but horse archers would work even better for exploring

tbh it'd be best to send chariots we can still build them when we can build HA and they can run away from any axes they come across in the same way we'd make HA run away rather than take the risk
