TERRAIN: Urban Area

After weeks of searching for urban terrain, I got sick of it and decide to create my own based on the Industrial Sprawl terrain in PTW.

I cleared the tracks and added some trees to it. I don't take credit for the graphics as some one else did them.

I used the mountain terrain as I will not be using it in my D-Day scenario.

Now all I got to do is replace my desert terrain with a river that cant be crossed unless using a bridge!!!

Looks quite good, though to be brutally honest, I don't like the look of that swamp terrain (is that what it is?) Congrats on the urban terrain though.

I forgot who did the Swamp Terrain and Irigation, but I can assure you that it wan't him.

Yeah thats it I was looking at it last night. But who made the swamp beats me.

Yeah that does look nice.

But the only problem, as far as total use, is - like irrigation tiles with buildings - roads go "through" the buildings, and to me that looks too off for me to use the otherwise exceptionally beautiful mods.

I cant remember where I got the swamp terrain from confused but it was the only one I could find that stood out for my scenario. The irrigation is by Cordy. It fits perfectly with the Normandy bocage country look.

The rest of the terrain is Warpstorms excellent watercolor terrain . It has that easy feel to it that allows me to emphasise the rest of the map features.

Bjorn Bjornson - I wish I could fix the road overlay problem..does anyone know of a way?

Overall, the urban things works well for my scenario. I have set this terrain so that infantry and tanks get bogged down in street fighting just like it happened in D-Day.

I wont go into the details of my scenario as I am working at a snails pace and I still have not found all the units I need (cant create units to save my life!)...most of what is out there is excellent but variation in size makes it hard to use units from multiple people.

Also....does any one know where I can find some terrain that actually forms a river...I tried to mod the desert terrain but I just realised that the actual sqaures on the map are divided into 4 tiles???? Why did they do this?
