Terrorists Kill Two Iranian University Professors

...while deliberately looking the other way when a rogue state actually does develop the capability that directly jeopardizes the safety of the entire region, and doing absolutely nothing about it.
I am sorry, but we are hardly doing nothing with regards to Iran (hell, we just killed two of their professors!), so I don't know how you can possibly say that.

You mean besides frequently threatening to invade and occupy their sovereign country, largely on the basis of deliberate deceit and intentional lies?

Professors cant work for the government? Really? Why, I had no clue...

RR, government employees can be civilian as well as military, I had thought that would be obvious to you since you are one as well...

Yes, but college professors are civilians. I'm not at all surprised this isn't obvious to you.

In case you haven't been reading WikiLeaks--a number of ARAB nations do want war against Iran, rather than letting Iran have nuclear weapons. As several of the leaks revealed, these ARAB nations were hoping the United States would do the dirty work so that ARAB nations could avoid openly initiating hostilities against another ARAB nation. So, you no longer have a choice--another Middle East war is very likely right now, and the only control you have over the matter is who starts it and who finishes it.
Yeah, next time I care what those authoritarian jackasses think I'll ring you.

If you ask the people in the Middle East they overwhelmingly think Israel and America are the greatest threats.

The U.S. military can be treated as civilians for victim-of-terrorist purposes, so this shady reclassification is nothing new - just ask about the act that got Reagan to cut and run from Beirut.

Republicans never "cut and run" they have "peace with honor"

I don't think it's that clear when they're working for a military program. Think of it as bombing a munitions factory in Nazi Germany -- it's not legally part of the armed forces, but what it does has such a close connection to them that the line gets blurred.

Bombing of civilians was perfectly legimate during a Total War as employed by both sides. Never mind just the arms industry.

No need to try hard. Terrorism is just a limited form of warfare, that it is used is not in doubt.
Whether it was used on these Iranian scientists, is. Why the rush to assume it's terrorism?

Terrorists don't operate this way. They target shopping malls and bus stations. The USS Cole bombing, by comparison, was not a terrorist attack, it was a guerilla attack. This hit on these two scientists was a plain old basic assassination.

What, those arab DICTATORIAL RULERS, kings, whatever, were hoping that the United States would do the dirty work so that arab RULERS could stop trembling in fear, within their palaces, from the prospect of getting overthrown by some revolution?
Now you've got it. They'd rather that terrorists attack U.S. than T.H.E.M.

Let Iran and Israel do what they wish with eachother. Right now, we should focus solely on Afghanistan and Iraq, and after that, trying to get our deficit under control, before even thinking of tackling yet another ME state.

Yes, but college professors are civilians. I'm not at all surprised this isn't obvious to you.

Of course its obvious to me. I am sure the people Iran arrested and gleaned 'confessions' from were also civilians. Your point?
