Helloooo

Could someone enlighten me on how Test of Time Extended game is different to the Original game option?

I finished my first 'extended' game yesterday, at 2020. i played on a bit to see what else might happen - my spaceship landed on A.C. in 2025 (i forgot to build it earlier... d'oh!). Nothing much else occured.

I know there is a 'Map 2' that by the time I build the Apollo Program is completely controlled by a single civ... but what is it there for?

In the Extended game, one civ is alien. Once you land on AC, you continue and are able to colonize that planet too - whereas in the original game it all stops. Also, you get more techs, including one which make a lot of the Wonders obsolete. The game can also end when you research a certain tech (can't recall which at the moment).

As far as I recall, in the extended game, when your spaceship lands on AC you get 1-4 settlers there depending on the size of SS. You then have to fight against the indiginous population. I think the game goes onto 2050.

sorry about the uncertainty but its a while since I played ToT.

I noticed the other CIV with their 6000million people on AC, but when I landed on AC the game ended. Is this because it was after 2020?

Anyway. Something odd happened to my TOT. I installed Civ 3, but can't play it yet cause the image appears twice on the screen, really small. But now my TOT won't work unless after loading, I take the OUT. Strange. Can't wait to figure out what the hell is wrong with Civ 3 though. I began playing a round, but the writing was so small i cuoldnt read it. But it seemed good, what I could tell of the game....
