The Ancient Mediterranean MOD (TAM)

Robo:

Hey I didn't say I didn't like your criticism. It's good!

The filetype for the "ancient" is ZIP. Download it, and unzip the contents to the Scenarios folder, overwriting the old BIC.

I'll work out a new installation. All I need is someone to FTP it onto my server. :/ The university firewall doesn't allow FTP yet.

I know you asked to move to the other forum, but this one deserves to be completed here.

Go easy on the installation job. Your setup is probebly convenient for most people, and I'm capable of manipulating the install as it is. I'd much rather you improved the readme first. But you might consider adding a cleanup batch file in case of a crash (and make it safe to use even when it isn't needed). But then perhaps noone has had the need for it. I might be seeing ghosts here.

And you might consider editing the first post in this thread to make it clear what that map file is for.

Did you notice that Elucidus is offering webspace? Yes, I know, you probably don't have time to take the offer up.

Here is another Excel reference file. This is a Terrain chart, showing the values for all terrain types and all new resources. It includes the techs needed to reveal each resource. I have also modified the notes sections at the bottom to reflect the effects of the new government types on terrain tiles, and on worker jobs. I also listed the new techs required for each of the worker jobs.

One other comment, now that I have played further as the Macedonians, they do not have access to a Horse resource, even though it is needed for their UU (Hetaroi Cav). There should be one, probably located near Thessaly, since they were famous for cavalry. The nearest one was pretty far north along the Black Sea coast, which was controlled by the Scythians by the time I got there.

I made an add-on to this mod that puts very small smileys on the luxury resources.

To use, just download and unzip to your Anciend Med install folder. It should overwrite your existing resources.pcx, so you might want to back up that one first ;)

edit: The attachment disappeared
'll add it in another post. Look below.

I have also put smileys on the citizens.

Again, just unzip to your Ancient Med install folder and it should overwrite the old file. Did I mention to back up your original file?
