If you delete your signature, lots of empty space stays bellow your message. see this post, you will see between 5 and 10 blank lines. It is very unimportant yes, but still happens.

Umm, the space is to allow for your avatar and the verbage under it.

The space, as Cartouche Bee said, is used for the Avatar, Verbage, and other info .

A good solution to you: Post more.
Big posts are a perfect soluction to your problem.

As I use MAC currently, I only see 2 lines. like perfection.
Maybe modern style should be modernized...

Why did you quote yourself, then respond to it with, "Yes, but..."? Do you now see the cause of the big space? It has nothing to do with deleting your sig; it's to make room for your avatar and stuff. It would be impossible to not have a space and have room for your avatar and stuff.

Viewing it has nothing to do w/ OS X style. I'm using it and can still see it. WillJ is right, it's because of the avatar.

haha how dumb is that to quote yourself. somehow i did that. i wanted to quote guy who first replied. anyway - you are right - it is because sigatures and for dumbs to wonder
