Di Renjie:Majesty,how would you like to call this city?
Wu Zetian:We call it:"Chang'an",which means "constant peace".Build an army of warriors in Chang'an and send our warrior out to explore the world.

Servant:Your Highness,we have been informed that a group of workers want to work in our empire.
Wu Zetian:Allow them to settle in our empire and build many buildings that improve our economy and empire.

Di Renjie:Empress,the emperor of Japan would like to speak to you.
Wu Zetian:Let him speak!
Jimmu:Ah,Wu Zetian-san! I am Jimmu. Though you come from far away, and you may think Japan to be strange and different, remember this:similarities outweigh the differences.
Wu Zetian:How kind,but you don't achieve greatness with that.There is no reason for war so I declare the peace between our people.
(Jimmu leaves)

Di Renjie:Empress,a man called Siddharta Gautama has founded Buddhism in our empire.
Wu Zetian:Oh,I like the statue! I convert immediately to Buddhism and I officially make it the state religion!
Di Renjie:Empress,the only one who can make a religion the state religion is Emperor Gaozong.
Wu Zetian:But he doesn't control the government anymore,I do now!

Di Renjie:Empress,the King of England would like to speak to you.
Wu Zetian:Tell him to come back at a later time!
Di Renjie:Sorry Empress,but he just walked into the palace.
George III:Good day to you,Empress Wu,leader of the Chinese people! I am George III of the Kingdom of England.
Wu Zetian:How dare you to just walk into my palace like its yours?!Be gone!
(George III leaves)
Di Renjie:Empress,the emperor wants to speak to you.
(Emperor Gaozong walks into the throne room,everybody(except Wu Zetian) bows to the emperor)
Gaozong:My empress,you have ruled very well as regent of our empire. But now it's time for me to reassume my place as leader of China.
Wu Zetian:Well,the plans have changed a bit,I'm planning to become Empress regnant of China and depose you!
Gaozong:Excellent...uh I mean that's impossible! Women aren't able to rule China and they cannot claim the Mandate of Heaven because the are incapable to rule! Guards, arrest this witch!
Wu Zetian:Well,this woman is going to prove you that women are very capable to rule China. Guards,arrest the emperor and bring him to the dungeon!
(Guards take the emperor)
Gaozong:You can't do this!The people will rebel against you tyrannical rule!
Wu Zetian:We'll see about that.Di Renji,prepare the coronation!I want a giant statue of myself,a 150 meter tall pagoda and enormous ceremony!I give you five years,otherwise you will be executed!
Di Renjie:Yes,your masjesty!

Shangguan Jing'er:Majesty,the Sultana of Delhi wants to speak to you.
Wu Zetian:Let her come into my palace!
Razia Sultana:The Sultana of Delhi,the most beautiful,most magnificent and most dangerous,Razia Sultana welcomes you in the prosperous Sultanate of Delhi.Here,take this camels,elephants and gold as a sign of our future alliance.
Wu Zetian:Thank you for this nice gifts! But I am the most beautiful,most magnificent and most dangerous woman!Your hat seems a little large and uncomfortable,maybe you should take it of?There is no reason for war so I declare the peace between our people.
(Razia Sultana leaves)

(While Di Renjie is walking towards his quarters,he hears two men talking about the coronation,Di Renjie hides behind a column)
General Yang:We will kill the witch!In case she somehow manages to survive,you will kill her!
Assassin:Yes,my lord.
(The men leave)
Di Renjie:I have to report this to the Empress immediately!
(Di Renjie runs to the throne room)
Di Renjie:Empress,some men are plotting against you!
Wu Zetian:What?!Who?!
Di Renjie:I do not know it,Empress.
Wu Zetian:We must find out who this traitor is!
Shangguan Jing'er:Empress,an informant melded me that the Imperial Chaplain is plotting against you!
Wu Zetian:Go to the Chaplain's monastery to find out if that's true!The Imperial Chaplain will not be an office for a long time from now...
Shangguan Jing'er:Empress,I don't think that that is a good idea.
Di Renjie:Why not,maybe because you are the traitor?!
Shangguan Jing'er:How dare you!You are the traitor!
Di Renjie:No you!
(Jing'er and Renjie begin to fight each other)
Wu Zetian:"The deceased Detective Dee is fighting Officer Shangguan!"Stop!Stop!Stop!
(Jinge'er and Shangguan stop fighting and go to their quarters to prepare to go the monastery.Di Renjie could not find Jing'er so decided to go alone Afterwards he arrives at the monastery in the city outskirts)
Di Renji:Why do I have a bad feeling about this?
(Di Renjie looks and walks around)
Imperial Chaplain:Chancellor,you know that it's a capital crime to come here without a valid reason.
Di Renjie:I come here on orders of the Empress to investigate a plot to overthrow Empress Wu.
Imperial Chaplain:You are not going to accuse me of plotting against the Empress,are you?
Detective Dee:I already knew of your plan for a long time ago,Jing'er.
The Empress blamed everything on the Imperial Chaplain to shut people's mouth.Once she is Emperor,the chaplain will disappear.The Empress eliminated officials and ministers to become Emperor.That's her way of doing things."To achieve greatness,everybody is expendable".And what will happen to you,Jing'er?
Imperial Chaplain:Leave now and I will spare your life.
Detective Lee:I know my life is in danger,but so is yours!Am I right,Officer Shangguan?
Shangguan Jing'er: (screams very loud and attacks)
(Jing'er and Renjie duel,but Jing'er comes to her senses and is eventually redeemed,together they walk back to the palace until they are attacked by assasins)
Di Renjie:Assasins!
Shangguan Jing'er:Yes,I see them too!
(Shangguan and Di defeat the assassins,but Shangguan is mortally wounded,Di Renjie sends her on a horse to the palace)
(The ladies-in-waiting bring Shangguan to the empress)
Wu Zetian: (shocked) Shangguan! Call the Imperial Physician! Hurry up!
Servant:Call the Imperial Physician!
Wu Zetian:Shangguan,can you hear me?
Shangguan:Empress,may I ask you one question?
Wu Zetian:Yes!
Shangguan:Have you ever... truly loved someone?
Wu Zetian:Yes.
Shangguan:Was it worth it?
Wu Zetian:Yes,it was worth it.
(Shangguan dies in the arms of Wu Zetian)
Wu Zetian:No!(looks very sad)
Meanwhile Detective Dee has arrived at his quarters to eat something
Back in the palace Wu Zetian is standing on her balcony while looking to the Towering Buddha and her servants begin to prepare the coronation ceremony
A few hours later Di Renjie inspects the Towering Buddha
Di Renjie:Hello?Is there anybody here?
General Yang:You were a fool to come here,Renjie!
Di Renjie:I could have know that a high-raking person like you was behind all of this!
General Yang:You are too late,Renjie! I modfied the framework of the Buddha and when the core has melted the Buddha will fall upon the coronation stage,no one will survive in the palace.
Di Renjie: (tries to run away)
General Yang:You aren't going anywhere!
We switch to the coronation stage
Wu Zetian: (Walks to the throne,while everybody bows to her)
Announcer:The time is ripe and heaven has spoken!Empress Wu is wise,gentle and generous.For unification she shall become emperor!Let this be known to the world!
High Priest:In the name of heaven,I crown you Emperor of China.(bows)
Scene switches back to the Buddha
Di Renjie: (throws his sword to a construction,construction collapses and falls on Yang)
General Yang:No! But you are too late Di Renjie!Hahahaha!
Di Renji: (jumps on his horse and rides to the palace)
Guard: (Looks at the Buddha that is collapsing)The Buddha is collapsing! (runs to the throne hall) Empress! The Towering Buddha is falling towards the palace! Let's leave immediately!
Everybody: (panics) (then everybody runs out of the palace)
Everybody:Oh no! The Buddha is really collapsing!
Guards:Majesty,we can't stay here,let's leave immediately!
A piece of the Buddha nearly falls on the Empress,but Di Renjie saves her.
Wu Zetian:Thank you for saving me,I couldn't rule China without your help.
Di Renjiee:It was nothing,Your Majesty.
Wu Zetian:Your first task to help me is by rebuilding the palace and the Buddha.
Di Renjie:Yes,your majesty.
The following day:

Wu Zetian:Let him in,I have nothing else to do at the moment,except for ordering executions of people who oppose my regime.
Canute:Greeting to the Viking Empire. I am Canute. Let there be peace between us and we shall be friends. Betray and you shall answer to he who controls the tides!
Wu Zetian:???!You are crazy! Firstly,you speak terrible English! Secondly,you look more like a hobo then like a king! And now out of my palace!
(Wu Zetian's guards throw Canute out of the palace)

This was a game for fun,normally I play on higher difficulties.

Rule 1 of religion: YOU NEVER EVER GO FOR HINDUISM OR BUDDHISM IF YOU DO NOT HAVE MYSTICISM FROM TURN 1. Its better spent getting other techs first. The reason is is that likely someone else will have started with mysticism from the start, which allows them to research a religion-founding tech with less issue.

Not having a second settler out or Finding a city 1 tile off the coast.

Out of curiosity, is it Dutch or French? As you may know, I'm Belgian too

Something which really helps making it clear who speaks and who doesn't and doesn't take terribly much time is giving every personage a specific colour (and maybe bolding the names too).

About the spacing marks, it's indeed clearer if you put a space after a comma (and you forgot some after exclamation marks too).

But the story is nice, though.

I didn't say settler first; I said he should have had a settler out by turn 19 (not settled, just built and heading to a city site). Worker first is almost always the best strategy (excluding always war/raging barbarians/multiplayer).
