The CFC Model UN

Sorry about the delay, I forgot about the whole UN thingy...

We (the chinese) feel that the Iraqi governmnet needs to be the arbiters of Saddam's trial. It is there that he did the damage and that is where he should face the punishment. Also he will be judged by the morality of his people, and not the morality of an international tribunal. We cannot and will not support this measure!

The President of Algeria believes that the trial of Saddam Hussein should be held in Iraq, tried by his peers, the Iraqi people. Headed by a United States Judge Advocate General(to ensure the legal process is correct). And the Death Penalty MUST be allowed for someone who has committed crimes worthy of many deaths.

Algeria will be happy if a British and American judge oversee the trial. But the coalition should oversee the trial, not the ICC or any other nation not apart of the liberating armies.

Hi how would i go about joining i would like to join as the country of Morocco.

@human-slaughter-All spots are filled, only nations that are on the security council are in this.

@pomsa-The Model Parliament/Civia is something completely different from the Model UN.

I think that won't happen. It would be very complicated.

Anyway if someone wants to take control of this, I wouldn't mind. I don't plan on being active in it; the Civa takes up most of my time here...

could i be Turkey? if not that, Syria. i've already asked once, but since no one responded to it, i'm asking again. the first time, however, i didn't ask for Turkey.

Is there room for one more, I wish to partisipate. If Germany or Canada is not taken I can take one of them.

Brazil is a nation that reserves the death penalty only for the most extreme of crimes.

Sorry if this post is way off-topic, mods feel free to delete it, but as a brazilian I'd like to point out that death penalty is banned here. In fact, we don't even extradict criminals if there is a risk for them to be sentenced to death, and in every opportunity brazilian embassadors speak against capital punishment.

How 'bout we just start this Model UN over as the General Assembly?
We each get to pick our country first-come, first-serve.

Oh dear, I missed Model U.N part 2 :(
