The CFC Model UN

Umm, Pakistan, present and voting. Jeez! 3 pages while I'm sleeping!:lol:

(Not giving the Pharoh Egypt? BLASPHEMY!:rolleyes: )

Edit Post:

As for the trial of Saddam Hussein, Pakistan (hopefully shall be swapped for Egypt;)) says that if Saddam had any part in the organization of those attacks against troops, then that'll be enough for multiplelife sentences, or even death!

Only Tuba Guy and The Chosen One have not posted. How long do we wait before we start without them?

EDIT: Amenhotep, there is no Egypt in the Security Council.

CURSES!:lol::mad:

Anyways, I say if they don't post within 24 hrs, forget 'em...The UN can't wait.

Russia notes that, mathematically and realistically, the Security Council can function well without the Philipines and Algeria.

Though having them would be nice.

the US notes that realistically, the security concil can function well without everyone other the the US,Russia,Britain, and China ;)

Russian intelligence reports that Algeria posted in Off-Topic 5 hours ago. That was the last seen of him.

We'll wait until tonight before we start the introductory statements.

However, I'll be leniant and let you guys start to PM me to request to be put on the Speaking List.

Re, Xen: Whoever wants to start the next UN can do so. We can have 30 UNs or we can have 1, it doesn't matter. In fact, if anyone gets really annoyed at how the person is running the UN they're in, its not a problem for them to leave and start their own.

In a few hours I guess. Sorry, I forgot we have foreigners here. ;)

Anyway since we're only missing two people just give them a few more hours. Meanwhile, you guys can PM to get on the speaking list, the faster you do it the earlier you speak...

no, there cant be, and you know it as well as I do- if you dont,t hen you obviouslly need to start dropping by this area more often, as from watching the actions of this area moderator, he frons on multiple threads of the same game going on at once, besides that, your being naive, we all know that player will choose one, and stick to it- this thread is it, any other thread would be doomed to at best obscurity.

beisdes, why would I start anew thread, I'm a supporter of the one thread at a time idea

We have nearly 30 people who showed interest in the first game; we could support a second thread. Naturally I don't think we should, but I'm saying that we could if need be.

OK, we'll start the Introductory Statements. The Speaking List:

NOTE: The Speaking List is ordered from first to last, top to bottom. So, you may not speak until the person above you on the list has spoken. :) *Looks at Seleucus* ;)

Romania (Naervod)
Pakistan (Amenhotep)
Chile (myself)
United States (Xen)
Germany (Andrewgprv)
France (Plexus)

Normally I would go first but I need a little time to research Chile. :) If you're not on the list, you should PM me asking to be on the list.

Oh, and BTW: Introductory statements simply means that you state your position on the topic. If you have a resolution and two sponsors, propose it! We'll vote after everyone has an introductory statement and a resolution has been officially proposed.

You're not supposed to speak yet, but...your opinon is noted. :p

I guess I'll take you off the list then, and we'll pretend you were first. ;)

Security Council members and United Nations of the world, I speak for he who makes mortals tremble, His Excellency VLADIMIR VLADIMIROVICH PUTIN, Ruler and President of All Russias.

The Russian government has two hopes for any trial of Mr. Hussein: that the people of Iraq will be the ones to try him, and that the trail will have international legitimacy. We therefore see only one logical solution: a trial in Iraq overseen by the International Criminal Court. We would be more than willing to sponsor any resolution that assures this, as well as oppose any resolution that would deny this.

It should also be noted that our words are backed with VETO POWER.

Thank you for your time, delegates of the United Nations Security Council. Today we have a very touchy issue before us, the trial of former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein. We feel that Saddam needs to be tried fairly and justly by a non-biased court. However, we also feel that should Saddam Hussein be guilty of what he has been accused of, he deserves the ultimate punishment, death. However, we are also flexible and are open to considering other suggestions. That will be all for now.
