"The Core" Ads

I followed the advice on page two and it works perfect. Never since have I been disturbed by that horrible ad. Whenever I browse all the way down on a page and see the now silent banner, I smile.
 
interesting, Although in few hours the adds will be gone for good ... I AM NOW GETTING THE ADD EVERY PAGE!!!! It is quite funny. The message that the adds will stop comes, however right before they are gone, they are there 100% of the time. Atleast for me. Can anyone else confirm if thats the only banner that they are getting?

so... when exactly is this thing supposed to go away? it's 10 times worse then before. WE'VE BEEN HIT!!! WE'RE LOSING CONTROL!!! Unexplained talking addy disasters are threatening our forums. QUICK! TURN OFF YOUR SPEAKERS!!!
 
Done. Still getting the Core banner though even now (Sun 30th Mar). Thankfully the sound has gone.

Never has a banner ad affected me so much. I will never go see or buy anything to do with this film thanks to the worst banner ad in the history of the internet!!

This has been a detrimental episode in CFC. Hopefully such awful obtrusive ads will be a thing of the past or its goodbye CFC for me.
 
Guys the ad really isn....ELECTRICAL SUPER STORM. I think if we all jus....WILL YOU TAKE A CHECK...we can get through this. In conclusion I think an oun.....WERE GOING IN...will help us all...THE CORE.

If we all just stay ca-- WE killed the planet!!! WE'VE LOST CONTROL OF THE BROWSERS! Hmmm... and the reason why this movie will do horrible in theaters? Pissed off CFC posters.

Do you think that when this movie does horrible at the box office(not just from all the ads, but because it looks really sucky), the advertisers will think that mass banners don't work very well? They probably spent more on adverts than they'll take in at the theaters. This isn't the only site I've seen Core ads at.
 
ARG! I read this was supposed to be gone by Saturday. I'm now getting it every time I go to/refresh a page on this forum. Anyone know a good bannerblocker?

Goodbye to this forum. I'm never coming back here untill this specific banner is gone :(

, your suggestion kind of worked for me but instead of the banner I kept getting a popup telling me the page was blocked. I don't want to trade a banner for a pop-up :D

I found a program to block the ad anyways: AdShield.

Well now they are silent for me but its still annoying and now I wonder if the Telefragged member was actually from Telefragged...
