The Dual Alliance II

Thank you, for helping me to waste all those shields in Karakoram slated for Adam's.

You forgot to send me the file...

Sorry on both counts. Didn't realize you were building Smiths. I never build wonders in my capital... I did send the 210a file yesterday but I sent it again today. :)

Mongols - Turn 211

1 turn to physics. Researching magnetism the next turn (the one giving us galleons). ;)

France is subdued; going after Persia once side-fleet returns to France (with more reinforcements). Then full fleet with full complement of forces will descend down on the Persian mainland like a hammer. :mwaha:

Karakoram switches to building Copernicus'. ;) 6 turns...

Japan - turn 211:

Picked off some of the advancing Persian forces. There are still hordes of them though... could use some help from our allies! :)

I've been working on Copernicus as well - 5 turns. Did I send you music theory yet?

Game e-mailed!

We are coming. :D

5-10 turns. No free muskets available to hold ground in Persia for now. Bringing in some cannons as well. ;)

Japan, turn 212:

Lost a cavalry attacking an immortal! :( Large stack of Persians bypassing Bangalore (and two Honorable Japanese armies) and heading for an undefended Delhi. Not sure if I have enough fire power to reduce their strength and hold my conquests...

Mongols - Turn 213

Fleet moving and congregating in the seas off the western coasts of the Persian continent. 7 caravels with 14 cavalry, 4 or 5 cannons and the rest muskets... ;)

ETA maybe 3 or 4 turns. :)

Had to make peace with Xerxes... too many immortals around for my scant cavalry forces to handle. He's paying 10gpt for peace and I did get another leader. Used him to make another army. :)

So which one of us should get Copernicus? I think I'll be done a turn before you unless you want me to change to something else...

Game e-mailed.

You can have Bach's; I don't really need another unrest-control wonder... ;)

Shldn't have made that peace - I'd have arrived in maybe 3 turns or so with lots of reinforcements. :) Never mind then; peace can always be broken. :mischief:

No email... :(

Game e-mailed (really, this time!).

Yes, peace will be broken once the Mongols arrive. Are you landing on the main Persian continent or the island they have all to themselves?

Main continent. I still have some cavalrymen left in France to bring over for the little island campaign. ;) Now problem is of lack of muskets in numbers... :hmm:

I'll probably hit the two Persian cities in the NW of the continent. ;)

No problem. ;) I'll be in during the weekend, so we might catch a few more rounds... :)

How bad is it in your area?

Switched away from building Copernicus. Will make the Pentagon instead. :) Will have a tech next round (navigation?). What are you researching?

Game e-mailed.

Black-out wasn't really so bad here. Actually, we had power at work but closed early because of the black-out. Go figure. Spent the evening at a friend's house and the power was up that evening. But I didn't have enough gas to drive home and the only gas station that was open was packed so I stayed in the city. Turns out there was no electric at home till the next morning anyway!

Mongols - Turn 215

Magnetism in 2 turns... Like I said, needed bigger ships 'cause I've a longer way to go... ;)

First ships will be in sight next turn. Maybe you can see them; somewhere off your northernmost city. :D

Mongols - Turn 217

Magnetism done; doing theory of gravity. 5 turns and then we're in the early industrial age.

Building Magellan's. ;)

Fleet loomed outside Persia, landing the next turn. The Conquest shall begin. :satan:

War declared on Persia. Knocked off a few Persian units but lost a cavalry and a samaria. :( The Persian hordes are back! Luckily we have three musket armies at the front this time! :)

Researching printing press - 4 turns.
