Looking good. Maybe a couple of settlers for south east sushi cities. Obviously spread Minc. Not sure why we´re going for communism, Kremlin is a nice wonder of course for rushbuy or whipping.

Vox still seems a comfortable distance from cultural victory.

communism is just place holder (0 beaker invested). Did not had the time to think about next tech anyway.

of cource, we need 2 settlers, i kept thought about it and never build them :(. I may have put 2 BFC somewhere. I'll post a picture tonight.

I still don't have time for a real report but i will do. Just two words if you never abused sushi:
- micro is damned long while playing suchi.
- always work 4 merchant in a sushi city that can afford it.

btw, it is [alt S] to erase a sign. I put some of those as indication for next turn. I try to play that way as i can't play for too long each days and i play slower and slower. That mean max 2 turn per day. i need not to lost myself...

I thought I posted a got it.

I think I'm next and I'm able to post a PPP tonight and play tomorrow.

PPP
Diplomacy:
Make peace with Sitting Bull taking Anhaica in the deal.
We seem to have lost our chance to bribe Shaka into war with anyone. I guess I will bribe him to make peace once he declares on Lincoln, so that we may bribe him ten turns later.
Declare war on Lincoln.
research
start AL.
cities
build executives. 2 settlers as well. whip industry once AL is in.
workers
build workshops.
units
attack Lincoln.
civics
switch to free speech when the golden age starts.

discussion:
When do we launch a golden age? At once. Let cities grow a little or wait for GS from communism.
Peace with Sitting Bull. I prefer to leave him. Nacogdoches is a useless city and it will keep the AIs tech pace down.
Research. Seems like noone has communism yet. Shall we go for the great spy? Assembly line is very powerful on the other hand.
Civics, Free speech looks like it will get us more gold then bureaucracy. Nationhood is an alternative as well. But it does not seem to be needed against anyone. Change from slavery once we have industries?

agree with peace deal.

agree with AL

for settlers, the dot map i proposed is attached.

build WS: before WS, build rails everywhere. Then proceed with WS but try not to cut irrigations chain to maize/wheat/rice

for war declaration, it should not happen during your set. You need to regroup, move a fleet near new york, then only declare with 2 front: new york with slow units and buffalo with cavalery.
build only cavalery now i think.

Start with stacking a pack of gold (2 turns at 100% cash) as executive cost money when converting cities.

for free speech, not sure it is beneficial as capital gain a huge amount of money right now and will be more and more like a gold monster.
cap bonus is right now 91*0.5 *3 = 136 gold.
we have 25 towns (or wana town) right now that mean we need a medium bonus of *2.7 to break even.
I don't think we can acheive that outside of cap.

my conclusion, we should stay in bureau.
should we test that with a quick test while we will be on revolution with a save and reload? is that ethical?

for nationhood, we don't need it but it is cute with AL.

according to golden age, i say, we wait for AL then we launch GA to speed up factory/powerplant production.
after AL, road to planes :) or electricity

dual post for small report from previous set.

started with finish taking chinese island then was forced peace :/
So i declared SB with very few losses until he reached riffling T 8. I succeed to finish west side without too mutch problems but east one, i had to force our armies a little more resulting in 7 losses in the 2 last turns (more than since the start of the war).

I developped suchi with a good amount of dead slaves with a good brunch of T0 whip.
I did not developped it in previous SB lands, please spread to good cities (kaholia, poverty point and spiro)

I tried to get a GP but only got an artist. We should keep him for a third GA.
I built national park in bantu (there was some forest reserve already planted there) and plan to use eridu to be used as global whip machine for units (GT + HE) 1 whip every 2 turns should be acheivable...

for trades, i trades coal for huge amount of resources as anyway noone can use it right now (except ironclad). It should be canceled if anyone reach AL.

for buildings, i tried to build market in suchi places for :) and 2 spe merchants. grocery is a plus. Don't be afraid to build them both in suchi cities.

btw eridu need to be microed right now, it is working a spy :(

with peace, check the happy faces building i planed and cancel them. don't be afraid to build more troops and wealth
build harbour + custom house in every city not on main land as they got big trade bonuses.

Bureaucracy generates +50% commerce: 90gpt/100bpt and costs 30gpt more than FS so its pretty close on the commerce front. On the other hand the bureau hammer bônus helps to generate execs faster which is probably a stronger argument for keeping bureau. Its worth converting farms to workshops in capital, it doesn´t really need the food.

You forget inflation. Free speech is close to 50 gpt cheaper.

Bureaucracy gives us 136-153 depending on research rates and 20 hammers.

Fee speech is 50 cheaper and gives us 50 commerce. At 200% average rate it is break even. I think we are very close to that with 300% rate in our capital. Mesa verde and Cahokia both have 175% rate on gold. I think it is a close race right now but it will continue to look better for free speech. Especially if we wait until we have AL for our golden age.

I think I should also get 3 more cities on the ex Chinese island. They give a lot of gold in trade routes. Once they have Sushi and start growing it will just be better.

Also do we agree on globe theatre in Eridu? I like Hangzhou better. It would allow to run immense amount of national epic boosted specialists.

I prefer to put the left city one tile south. It will have one more water tile to work if needed.

You talk about two fronts. Shall I attack Lincoln as soon as Shaka declares?

I do not see Lincoln put up any resistance. He will be so crushed.

i was thinking at one by sea to take one city and one by land up to the first city taken.
don't be fooled, lincoln have lots of grenadiers and troops and we don't have that many untis. furthermore, he will not miss riffling for a so long.
I'm not sure he will be so crushed. but eitherway, only declare when we are ready, not before.
even if shaka declare.
but is shaka ask for help, accept obviously.

plant left city 1S is ok too, it dosen't change that mutch. The major diference is less overlap.

about globe theater/HE combo, serail described it in one of its recent walkthrought and it seems to rock. piggy, any remembering of that?

about FS/bureau, when GA will be launched, we can always go FS and if it is not beneficial, we'll switch back after 5 turns. It should be pretty even anyway. When play alone, i usualy just make the test with save reload. IMHO, The option of prediction of economy change with civic change is clearly lacking in civ ...

about 3 more cities in chinese island, There is no food in those cities. keep focus on grabing seafood only. maybe only the 1 tile island but i'm not a huge fan.

With 12-16 commerce from trade routes, and with Sitting bulls cities coming out of revolts we probably need them for overseas bonus over there as well. It will probably grow to 20 commerce from trade routes very soon. We will not need food resources as we can spread sushi there.

Also we will soon loose trade routes with Lincoln so having more overseas trade routes to replace them with helps.

I will also do open borders with China.

Not much happening here.

Spread our corps. Sid Sushi is missing in only 1 city. There is an executive on the wrong side of the map that can go there.

MI is missing in 10 cities.

I might have been building to much infrastructure. I might have been better off to build wealth everywhere and get AL while spreading MI and SS.

I joined Boudica in war against Washington. Later Qin also joined the war.

I seem to have forgotten to build work boats for our southern cities.

Got yet an other great artist.

Lincoln have traded for Rifling. We are close to be able to steal military science from him.

It is good to have but having AL earlier would have been better.

Its probably worth waiting a few turns for infantry, I would also suggest recalling our fleet and load with infantry and cannon rather than cavalry.
