Scroll down to just under the quick reply box, and find the link to the smilies in the Posting Rules box. This will open up a new window. in the older VB, the smilies weren't clickable. Don't know about now, tho.

Takes half more as much place as before.

TF answered this in the other thread, but the reason is because now you can look at the threads in different views. The quick-reply box needs to know which post to attach the quick reply to.

If you scroll up to the top, you'll see a drop down marked 'display modes', and you can cycle through the different modes there.

Yuck... Ignoring the fact that I can't use my style anymore, I liked how it used to look better.

And what's with the clicking for "quick reply"?

IMO VB3.0 seems sort of worse...

Yeah, I have not figured out how to "Quick Replay" yet. And I think that it is much better, it just needs time getting used to.

One thing I like is that when you click on a location in your text and add a smilie, it adds it to the same location, not to the end like it did before.

the thing that's bugging me is the EDIT button was moved, it gets kinda annoying having to scrll down to the bottom of your post. its particulary annoying for me as i am listing the suggestions in the Civ4 feature request forum, and i have scroll down a bit to get to it, and i have to update it regualarly

The "Buddy/Ignore Lists"? Well, the only thing that heppens when I click on it is that it takes me to edit them. It wasn't like last time when it allowed you to send PMs, etc.
