The German Reich - Continued

Oh the Japs landed once somewhere in the olde England but finished off the cavalry forces before they could even take a puff. Then killed off their ironclad escort and galleon. Like I said, we got a sizeable naval presence in the Eastern Ocean of about 3-4 destroyers and some more ironclads. ;)

I think I did sink another 1 or 2 Jap ship and a few Egyptian ships. Other than that, didn't see much of enemy naval forces. But Egypt got an obscene number of 50+ cavalry though so keep note. But only 2-3 ships. :)

Comrade Siggy is voted to head the party when rioting breaks out in Berlin in 1878. On the high seas Geman admirals sink a Jap ship and an Egyptain destroyer while the rest of the navy shells the eastern Egyptian coast. A destroyer is built in Hannover in 1882. It will forever steam in the Inland Sea.:crazyeyes A couple years later Comrade Siggy instutes the 'assembly line' throughout Germany. He phases out the production of ground forces in favor of boosting German scientific endeavors.

Global warming causes civil disorder in Minsk. An army is completed in Frankfurt and work begins on a powerful new ship to be called a 'battleship'. More global warming in 1888 and rioting in Birmingham in 1890. Despite this Comrade Siggy continues his programs and is admired by the people.:)

Comrade Siggy travells to Odessa in 1892 to witness the launching of an 'unterzee' boat. He instructs the Odessa docks to begin a top-secret project. Something to do with a 'flat-topped' ship.

Jap cavalry lands near Bremen causing rioting in Tblisi. The German Home Guard easily repels the Japanes 'invasion'. 1896 sees rioting in Kiev and Nuremburg as Operation Toe-hold commences. 9 infantry and 17 artillery divisions (accompanied by 6 corps of combat engineers) land on Mount Toe-Hold on the Egyptian continent. Four cavalry attack the Mount and are repelled but 2 Egyptian armies take position at the foot of the Mount. The German navy shells the forces beseiging the Mount and do such a good job that most of Operation Toe-Hold's artillery remains dormant. German infantry storm down the Mount and easily destroy the two armies and two cavalry. Work is begun on Fort Toe-Hold.

The Egyptians counter-attack killing 2 infantry divisions at the foot of the Mount. The Japanese sue for peace and for 150 gold Comrade Siggy grants their wish. He then gives them spices and incense for an alliance agianst Egypt.

4 infantry divistions and a like number of engineers reinforce the Mount. Peace with Japan took the German economy off of a war footing. An Egyptian transport was sunk in 1904 and an Egyptian battleship was sunk trying to escape from the port at El Armana. 3 infantry divisions lost and artillery and engineers captured in Operation Foot Hold. Comrade Siggy reinforces the Mount and cancels further sorties for the time being.

Berlin riots once more in 1908. Comrade Siggy quells the riots by unveiling the production of a new weapon he calls the 'Panzer'.:) Comrade Siggy passes into history with a smile on his face...

I played about 15 turns because I didn't want to stop until we got the PANZER tech!

Most of our cities are producing wealth because that is how I was able to up the science rate and still increace our navy. We are also on normal economy. I leave it my successor to straighten all that out. He is repayed by being able to build panzers now. He also has the forces of Operation Toe-Hold at his disposal. Her's at look at those:

You can move it out of the Inland Sea into the Western Ocean via Brighton. ;) I too was wondering who's building all those ships in all those ports around the Inland Sea when it struck me.

The Inland Sea has an outlet? I sure missed it! Well, we've got a destroyer sitting there doing nothing. We should move it to the front.

Yeah, the Japs got eaten up by the Egyptians. That alliance was meant to distract Cleo while Operation Toe-Hold was implemented. I imagine pretty soon the Egyptians will be running to all those Japanese cities they've just taken - because our Panzers will be razing their cities!

Not an outlet exactly. More of a canal. Brighton connects the Inland Sea to the Western Ocean.

Didn't expect the Japs to last 2 secs against the Egyptians. ;) Pretty soon, they'll be retreating to their island northwards.

PANZERS FOR THE NEW YEAR! THANK YOU DONSIG!

You're welcome!:D

I saved at the beginning of 1908, not at the end of a turn like usual. All I did was have Berlin start a Panzer then I abdicated. You'll have to do alot of production switching as most cities are making wealth. Now that we have panzers I think we can lower the science rate. We also have a healthy treasury so a bit of a deficeit shouldn't hurt.

When I made peace with Japan our economy reverted to normal. Since I only had a few turns to go I left it that way but I'm sure you'll want to go back on a war footing in order to crank out the panzers!:tank:

I. Psycosis is going to have a ball! I have 40 something panzers on egpytian soil, 2 armies, and another army in Frankfurt! The panzers and armies are all stacked along with the artillery and infantry inside the new colony I built for no apparent reason. There are 2 or 3 units needing repair, let them, and move the entire stack together, so the units wont ever really die.

-1908- Egyptian Battleship Memphis sunk!

1910- SS Bismarck built!

1926- 3 transports of panzers ready, one more to go, one is on standby.

1928- The invasion fleet has set sail!

1930- The invasion fleet landed on fort Mount!

1936- The great army to end all wars has burned Veii to the ground with only one loss, Panzer brigade 34:(

Whohhhooooooo! This army is huge! It must have 100 units, at least. WOW! If we keep them together with the two armies provididng escourt, the units will never die!

- Burn all cities, we don't need them.

- You might instead want two seperate legions, one army each, and the remaining forces split up between them.

- I. Psycosis, take care of my babies well...

Can't wait to get home and play. I'll try to get my turns in b4 New Year's Festivities. I work all day New Year's Day, so if not...till then. But, I'm pretty sure tonight.

My wife has other plans for me. Won't be able to play till Friday.
Sorry, happy new year, and long live the Reich.

Sorry to hear that.

Alright, up next is joespaniel and after that, Mike C!

Well, its too bad he couldnt play, it was a very interesting game I played. Joespaniel, you are at the head of millions of troops, tens of thousands of panzer tanks, and thousands of artillery pieces!

All in a days work, my friend...;)

Good job guys!

I intend to smash as many cities as possible, they can build all the new ones they want because it wont matter. I have a plan to trap their giant cavalry force and destroy it, we'll see if it works.

Im the one who started building ships in the inland sea. I was getting tired of the two barbarian galleys roaming around in there for thousands of years.

I should have mentioned the "canal" at Brighton though. Sorry!

Happy New Year everyone!

You might notice many of the cities are still building wealth, but they were building panzers until I had a large amount, then I needed some economic stimulus so I switched to wealth in some large cities. Panzers are still coming every turn!

There is a carrier waiting in the gulf of, whatever, in the east sea near a city. There are bombers being built, soon we will have the full carrier! It is called the Graf Zeppelin, and will set sail around 1946, which is when the bombers will be ready.

Egypt is collapsing like a house of cards!!!

Ive played two turns, and have them reeling back, unable to stop the German onslaught! Panzers are slicing up everything in their path!

I think this is it guys, we may be on the brink of global domination.

Technology is irrelevent now, no one will be left if we turn Egypt into a wasteland. We can use some revenue and luxurxies, so I switched it a little.

It was a good idea, donsig, but things are evolving rapidly in our favor, and we wont have need of new tech. Just a few more panzers.:D

I am kicking out two new settlers to build port cities in Egypt, to expedite unloading troops and to heal damaged units. I will also link them to our mainland with airports!

I need about 7 or 8 more turns to get things together, then I will relinquish command. Dont worry, theres enough Egypt left for everyone to get a shot at being a panzer-general.

I secured our ties with Japan, they are pretty screwed anyway, but will fight Egypt with us for now. Plus they gave us some gold for horses and iron, as they have none of their own.

German armies have razed 4 Egyptian cities so far, two of which were over size 20! We are pressing hard everywhere, they cannot mount an effective counter-attack yet.

Will report again soon.

I am glad you enjoyed my precious panzers, I am VERY glad to see it working in our favor. If only it were my turn...

How about that carrier? Any bombers yet? Sure, we won't need them, but, yeah.

What is the infantry doing, just sitting around getting drunk? The artillery rusting? We don't really need either, our panzers can handle it:D .

Good Job, Fieldmarshal. I will tell of your stunning victory to the new Chancellor.

The Egyptian Front

Egyptian resistance is increasing, but German armor continues its push towards Thebes with heavy infantry and artillery support.

Our casualties have been light. So far.

16 more panzers arriving from Germany will go into action soon.

Our great leader, Horsa, formed an infantry army that will act as a moving fortification for the panzer armies. They have yet to unleash their cavalry, which is still almost 50 strong, thus the need for a strong defensive unit.

The Sistine Chapel has been destroyed along with the city of Rome! Hopefully this will hurt the Egyptians a little.

Our strategy is simple:

Thebes (assuming it still is the capitol) and all surrounding cities will be destroyed. This should put a serious wrench on their production and science capacity. I hope.

If so, they should begin to fall apart after that.

Right now, the situation is up in the air. We could win, or lose horribly. We are taking it one battle at a time.

More to follow.

-Fieldmarshall Spaniel signing off

EDIT: GREAT job building up our empire for war. Thanks for the excellent starting position! I hope I can pull it off. Have 5 or 6 more turns to go, and each one takes about a half-hour. Lots to do.
