EA is killing off a lot of studios lately... but the new MOH looks pretty cool. I am hoping it will beat the out of MW2 because I do not like the COD series anymore. I stopped playing it seriously after 2.

also Red Dead Redemption is coming out next month. That game will be so awesome, I will be having wet dreams of Katherine Ross, and hearing Ennio Morricone and Tex Ritter everywhere...

Read Dead Redemption looks bloody awesome, except its on the console. I expect a PC port of it, but Rockstar hasn't always been good at ports (GTAIV port sucked, STEAM gives people refunds for it).

It does look awesome, they haven't even announced the PC port, so I'm not even sure they WILL release it on PC. Do they have a history of not announcing that in advance?

Also, the GTA IV port is pretty much the only one that wasn't good. But then, correct me if I'm wrong, but I get the feeling that GTA IV was the first GTA game that was predominantly developed for consoles? None of the previous ones felt like obvious ports. Especially not Vice City.

Yes, it is kind of like Grand Theft Horse, set in 1908 at the end of the wild western era. It looks amazing.

Well. I do most of my gaming at my parents house (weekends) and their internet connection is pretty slow (75 kbs max). Is there any SP or MP games that don't have much lag with a slower connection?

Also singleplayer games CAN'T lag since they are played\, well, singleplayer.

I know SP can't lag (unless your computer is old or almost full, mine is kind of the later), but civ doesn't' lag that much in MP, but say an FPS does.

Lag is caused by internet connection problems, not your computer trying to tun more than it is capable of.

Oh, what is it called when you do SP and your computer can't handle it. My computer can handle almost everything I think, I was talking about online lag.

I don't remember if there is a specific word for it, but various words to describe it are struggling, choppyness, freezing, and running poorly.

I always called it lag. Thanks for the info. Still... do you know any MP games that don't require the internet speed of an FPS. Civ will run with not much lag at all as where an FPS lags horribly. Some lag is okay, as long as it's not a lot.
