The idea of rotating the holy land

So as I was reading all these war/holy land threads I have come to one undebatable conclusion:

That whichever place that gets designated as a "holy land" will be internally screwed until God's 2nd coming(if you believe in that).

So I propose a solution of rotating the holy land to a different site every 10 years so the fighting will have to be at different places and not one place gets screwed for eternity. It would give the middle east a little peace and chance to develop. I think it sounds like a good plan.

Without the land being holy, the different beliefs will having nothing left to fight over.

or we could just realize that all three religions worship the same God and just get along in the Holy City. It IS the Holy City, how hard is it to be somewhat mature about it?

Well, 500+ posts...:D

So many children that require their parents' belt.

I think he meant to off topic.

Get some broad shoulders, I've seen religous assumptions that offend me and I'm agnostic :D

Sitting down and working out your differences is a hell of a lot better than rotating the holy land, it has the added bonus of being a novel technique too, since it really has only lasted as long as it takes to forget what happens when the shelling and suicides start up again.

EDIT: I meant assumptions that were anti religion btw.

Somehow, I don't think the fundamentalist Muslims are going to go live in Antartica just because you tell them "Oh, it turns out Mohammed just left from here, his actual point of ascension was over the South Pole." They're fanatics, not idiots. If only they were all that stupid....

You're totally WRONG!:D
The Land of Israel is holy REGARDLESS of politics and whether there is a state of Israel or not.
It was given its holiness directly by God and not by any definitions made by men.
Btw what's wrong with you?:D
(You seem to be somewhat disturbed, am I right? )
disturbed? moi? really?
yeah i know.
its just a mix of my distrust of religious institutes and officials and my combo high value on life/low value on land.
add a dash of "i hate politicians"....

and i might be wrong. so might you.
thats the beuty of it.
we can hold different views and still be civil about it.

Funky, who wrote that, is it a novel? Short story? I wouldn't mind reading something like that.

Oh it's a game, I've often thought games have better plots than movies, I mean look at Tomb Raider:Angel of Darkness and then look at the films, sheez they should get the game writers to write the films.

That is why we should tell the fundamuntalist jews that the Temple was actually built in Iceland, and tell fundamuntalist christians that "Jesus was born in the Antartic". Problem solved

When I read the thread title I had visions of of Israel being slowly rotated about untill most of the western hemisphere had had it's share of the situation, not such a bad idea really? People might actually sound like they know what they are talking about for a change, instead of coming down anti Israeli or anti Palestinian without really knowing anything at all.

Mods are also humans.
And they have to sleep and work too.

Mods are not humans, be serious, they have been cybernetically engineered after being selected for the process. All vestigaes of human frailness have been removed so as to perform their duties 24/7, think Terminator or Robocop;):D

Can we just agree that this entire holy land concept is nonsense, all religons are false, there is no god, and everyone is going to die? There isn't everyone much happier now?

HannibalBarka
It's the last time I warn you about mocking the religion.

Why don't you warn Elohir too? Or do you only care when someone mocks Jews or Chrstians but not Muslims? Also the entire thread mocks the holy land concept and points out human stupidity and how humans are willing to believe anything is holy. At least thats what I gathered from the opening post but clearly some people don't delve deep into such matters.

No.

Can everyone but silver agree that silver is a teenage goth, seeing how he lashes out at religion at every opportunity and is preoccupied with sex in a somewhat perverted way?
