The Inhabitants of the island of Trearshaunosubykalzocmiwdofighuimpngquackivixizisj had orignally come there as refugees from some other island (not on the current map, I might make it from a nation someone else creates in the future), and wondered about the curiously circural lake and island at the center of the island of Trearshaunosubykalzocmiwdofighuimpngquackivixizisj. When they finally went to the island, they found that it contained a dimensional portal that would allow them to bring things in from other dimensions. The circular lake was a result of the previous inhabitants of the island of Trearshaunosubykalzocmwidofighuimpngquackivixizisj accidentally making something that destroyed them and and made the lake and island. Because of the portal, they thought they would instantly become the most powerful nation in the world. However, the things they got from the dimensional portal often proved to be useless, at least in their hands, although they did get quite a bit of useful things. As a result, they have a great standard of living and are one of the wealthiest countries on the planet, and some random pieces of technology. They, are, however, backwards in plenty of areas, and their democratic government is often prone to being endlessly bureaucratic and frequently corrupt. Also, arguments over the portal are frequent.
