I remember the first time I played HL I completely missed the shotty. I got to that place where all the Vortigaunts spawn in the lobby area (where Freeman is complaining about not being able to shoot electricity out his hands) with only a few shots left in the pistol. My inability to beat it like that caused me to restart and I found it.

I remember the first time I played HL I completely missed the shotty. My inability to beat it like that caused me to restart and I found it.

I incidently found the shotty just past the area where Freeman encountered a hallway of boxes (next to the area where the zombie comes out of the closet). I have not played the goldsrc version of HL, but I did played the Source port of it.
